I’m not sure why someone would give less than 5 stars for this charming old school Korean BBQ joint. As we walked in the place, we were immersed with happy spirited chatter of the patrons of the establishment. Our order arrived and our sights feasted at the amazingly well marbled cuts. JJUNNI, our attendant, lays a morsel on the sizzling grill and the chatter of the patrons is drowned out by…..no words to describe the orchestral sizzle of well marbled choice cuts… JJUNNI lays pickled perilla leaves on our plates then places a timely grilled delicacy, bits of sides, sauces and folds the leaf to cue us to accept the mastered….. You must come to fully finish...

This restaurant is a living remnant of the 2000s serving succulent cuts of meat with various sauces and sides to accompany your meat. The restaurant may seem old but it's clean and gives a nostaligc vibe with its interior and the buzzing atmosphere.

Customer service was wonderful with a waiter coming to cut the meat for you and checking your table regularly. Don't be nervous to call the waiter out loud if you need anything.

제가 그제(2014년 8월 4일(월요일) 오후 6시 45분경), 숙대앞 ‘쌍대포’라는 곳에서 친구 5명이랑 약속이 돼 있어서 갔는데, 15분정도 일찍 도착해서 자리를 잡고 앉아 있었습니다. 조금 후 남자 종업원께서 자리에 셑팅을 해 주시더군요. 물론 셑팅 해 놓은 거에 전혀 손도 안되고 있었습니다.,그리고 계속 기다리고 있는데 친구에게서 문자가 오더군요.. 거기가 아니라고, 이거 참 난처하게 되었지만 옆에 일하시는 분께 ‘죄송하다고. 친구가 여기 자주 오는데 다음에 또 오겠다고’말씀 드렸더니 웃으면서 그렇게 하라고 하더군요. 저는 고맙지요. 그래서 얼른 문밖으로 나오는데 동시에 흰 옷 입은 아주머니가(주인 같음) 제 앞으로 소금을 뿌리면서 뭔가 중얼 거리 더군요. 그 순간에 이상하다 생각 하면서도 친구들이 기다리는 곳으로 걸음을 재촉했죠. 그런데 뭔가 자꾸 찝찝한 거예요. 가는 도중에 아무리 생각해도 소금을 왜 뿌렸을까? 아까 그 흰 옷 입은 아주머니가 중얼거리는 소리는 뭔 말일까? 아~ 그때서야 확실하게 나한테 뿌린 거라고 생각이 드네요. 아니면 제 앞에 소금을 뿌릴이유가 없는 거죠. 이젠 분한 생각이 들어서 친구에게 말 했더니 한 친구가 그집 혼내준다고 같이 가자고 하더군요. 저는 이미 항의할 찬스를 놓쳤다고 그만 두자고 했습니다.

사실 저는 그 곳에 가기 전에 인터넷에서 자세하게 검색하고 갔어요. 아 거기서 영화 촬영을 많이 했구나. 음식 올라온 사진도 보고, 가면 아주 맛있겠 먹겠구나. 이런 기대가 있었죠. 그런데 아주 기분이 잡쳐 버린 거죠.

아까 문밖에 나온 순간에 그걸 알아 차렸더라면 아마 제가 거칠게 항의 했었을 겁니다. 아니 원래는 손님이 간 다음에 소금 뿌리는 거 아닙니까? 그렇게 생각하지 않나요?? 최소한의, 그래도 방문한 손님인데 매너가 너무 없네요. 아마 그 집은 앞으로 잘 될 겁니다. 재수없다고 소금 뿌리고 잘 마무리(?) 했으니까요. 자손 대대로 잘 될 겁니다. 영원히p.s: 참고로 그집은 이미 손님이 3테이블이나 있었어요. 제가...
