Bongpiyang Yangjae — Restaurant in Seoul

Located near our hotel, we stumbled upon Bongpiyang Yangjae and were pleasantly surprised to discover that it’s a 2023 Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant. Most of the diners were ordering BBQ, which seemed to be the specialty, but we opted for something lighter given our smaller appetite—seafood bibimbap and cold noodles.

The seafood bibimbap was decent, with fresh ingredients and a good balance of flavors. However, the cold noodles were a bit underwhelming, lacking the depth and refreshing taste that I usually expect from this dish.

「봉피양 양재점」「ボンピヤン良才(ヤンゼ)店」

昨日はうちに病院にタイから参観をしに来た医者さんの最後の日だったので、体表院長とほかの院長との飲み会がありました。

それで今回訪問したお店は 味付け豚カルビとピョンヤン冷麺が有名な「봉피양 양재점」「ボンピヤン良才(ヤンゼ)店」です。 2018年にミシュランザプレートに選ばれたことのあるお店です。

돼지목심本갈비(味付け豚カルビ)を注文しました。 なんとなく熟成鯛の刺身を売っているのですが、注文はしていません。

まずは付け出しでいくつかのおかずとサンチュの浅漬けが出ます。 炭火に火がつくと従業員が豚カルビを直接焼いてくれます。 鉄板で煙を吸っているので、店内に煙がないところがいいです。 短所なら値段が結構高いです。

焼きたての豚カルビは豚肉とは思えないほど柔らかく、味が強くないので旨みがあります。

ここで締めでピョンヤン冷麺を注文。 ピョンヤン冷麺は普通の冷麺と違って、刺激的ではなくすっきりとした味わいが特徴です。 冷麺にカルビを載せて食べたらうまさが二倍以上になります。 今回もごちそう様でした。
