Chang Surin — Restaurant in Seoul

Been looking for legit green curry and panang curry for a while. Decided to try out this little neighborhood place. It did not disappoint. Really nice couple runs the restaurant. It is super small with 2 2ppl table and 2 4ppl table. Got the spring rolls. 4 pieces for ₩3k. Green curry with Chicken ₩11k and pork panang curry ₩11. Thai iced tea also ₩3k. Over the curries were spot on. Awesome taste. The green curry was a little more soupy than I usually like but the flavor was legit. Panang curry was really tasty. You should try this restaurant. It’s kinda the taste from home cooking. A Thai friend says that it’s little bit different type of normal Thai food and it’s good taste and home cooking taste from moms. The owner said the overall taste is not so strong because suits Korean people’s taste. So if you want strong flavor you might be disappointed but it’s ok. It’s worthy to taste. Very small place so ask them before you visit. By the way Chang “창 or 샹” means elephant and Surin “수린” is the place in Thailand well known...

More traditional-style Thai food that’s pretty good and not overly expensive like the itaewon spots. Owner/cook is from Thailand and is very nice. Flavors were spot on for traditional-style.

The place is quite small with only a handful of tables but food comes out quickly and plenty of Thai beer options...
