CHICAGO PIZZA&PUB — Restaurant in Seoul

The basil risotto was excellent. However, something was wrong with the classic tomato pizza with olives we ordered. I have never tasted any pizza like this so I can’t describe how the flavor was “wrong”. Something was wrong with the sauce. We asked the waitress to taste it. She did, but it took her a while to confirm it as being the normal taste and she didn’t seem to like it. She said the problem could have been because olives taste different in the morning, which is bogus. In my almost three years in Korea I have never sent some food to be redone, but $22 for an 8” pizza should taste good. We ordered a different pizza, plain cheese with olives. Original? No Chicago? In appearance only Pizza? Technically

While this pizza is technically deep dish pizza, it is not authentic to Chicago's deep dish pizza as its flavors are for the sweet Koreans who think all Western food is sweet. You know how they put sugar on garlic bread? You know how the bread here is a little extra sweet than it is in the US?

This pizza's crust is as sweet as a pastry. One of my friends described it as a cookie. The sauce tastes like canned or jarred spaghetti sauce. One of my friends said it reminded them of SpaghettiOs.

If you are like me, a Chicagoan who really craved authentic deep dish pizza, do not eat here. You should wait until you go...

Customer service was terrible, staff were more interested in taking out the trash and having a cigarette break for 20 minutes instead of table waiting at 7:30pm.

The food was also below average, ordered two pizzas and they came out cold. In addition, the toilets were extremely dirty with holes punched in all of the paintings, no soap and no toilet paper or anywhere to dry your hands.
