Coffee Nap Roasters Yeonnam — Restaurant in Seoul

Already in it's fourth year Nap Coffee Roasters' second venture still remains one of the most popular cafes in Seoul's Yeonnam-dong suburb.

Designed by local studio Maoom the compact 50 m² was awarded the Best Interior Design award at the 2019 ABB Leaf Awards held in Berlin. The bold concept features a mound of 7,000 red bricks, wall-to-wall sliding French door terrace and a single skylight designed to cast a different light on the hill depending on the season or time of night or day. At night the coffee bar, positioned behind the hill, lights up to cast moonlight on the cafe floor and surrounding alleyways.

NAP roast extensively on their in-house Probat (Germany) and at the time of visiting had five different single origins ready for V60 filter brewing:

2. Guatemala El Morito
3. Colomboa El Paraiso Lychee
4. Ecuador La Papaya Typica Mejorado
5. Peru Apas Vahu De-Caffeinated

Their house blends include:

1. 317 (India 30%, Guatemala 35% and El Salvador 35%)
2. 218 (Ethiopia x 2)
3. 420 (Kenya 25%, Costa Rica 25%, Colombia 25%, Ethiopia 25%)

I have been to countless cafe’s across Korea, and have tried a lot of coffee. I would say the standard is quite high, both in terms of taste and vibe offered.

This cafe is definitely the best coffee I have tried, with the most unique and awesome interior I have seen!

The barista is always so kind and professional, even if you are a forehand afraid your Korean may be lacking, you have no need to hurry.

The quality of been is incredibly high, and they offer a variety depending on your preference.

The milk foaminess is perfect, which allows the latte art to be beautiful every time I have been there.
