Saruga is great. Itโs not Whole Foods and itโs not EREWHON. Appreciate it for what it is.
They have the best herb selection anywhere in this part of town and lots of items that arenโt available on ssg. Lots of vegan friendly and organic selections as well. Outside the grocery store thereโs a large assortment of best of America snacks (little Debbie / Doritos / Takis and pop tarts ) that likely made it from a container near the base. They deliver. They have parking.
That said, it doesnโt have the widest sku selection so youโll still need to supplement with heading to another grocery store. The prices are high, particularly if youโre buying things that can be readily found...

The grocery store is 25% markup on the same products you can get from homeplus, and the grocery prices are downright insulting. I have seen a single melon priced over 60,000 won. In the center of the complex are stands selling hard to find goods for foreigners. These too are overpriced and must be checked for expiration dates. They have a lot of meat 50% off when expiring soon, itโs a really good deal. A good portion of their vegetables are organic, most meats are no antibiotics/ free range/ non GMO, and they some local meats such as hanwoo beef.
