Ediya Coffee Lab. — Restaurant in Seoul

This is by far the best cafe/coffee whatever ever. As a coffee nut I find it extremely rare to find coffee made by Siphoning except at home. They use mainly Hario equipment but the range of coffee and food is also worthy of making me drool all over the place. I came here a few times in my 3 days in the area. The cappucino is pretty standard. I find lindt cappas better. But the brews. The brrrews! I tried the African Rume and the Geisha on separate occasions both Siphoned. They ask if you want to watch and you should. They will take you through the steps and let you smell the grind, taste the brew. This place has valet parking and a doorman. The interior is spacious, well decorated, and has a variety of seating and table options to appeal to anyone. I chose a mid-century modern chair with leather upholstery; it was very comfortable. There was a multitude of dessert and food options and all looked to be of excellent quality. I had a chicken almond sandwich and mini pecan pie. Both were excellent. Before I left, I had a carrot apple juice; it was the really deal; no fillers. Of course, all the opulence comes with a price. A very chic and modern coffee shop. This Ediya Coffee is different from the regular cheap ediya coffee chain stores. They only serve specialty coffee menus and also have a great variety of desserts.and pastry. The interior is very relaxing, modern and quite spacey. It is at the very hip location of Cheogdam were many clubs and fancy bar/restaurats located. Since there are many rich people living in this area, this coffee shop does balet parking and you will only see real fancy cars at the driveway.
