Eulmildae — Restaurant in Seoul

i had the pleasure of being invited to have a Pyeongyang Naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodle - Pyeongyang style) and it was superb! Solely on the Naengmyeon alone, they deserve 5 stars - the broth was immaculately refined and the noodle texture was firm and of a slighter thicker variety that added to the chewing pleasure.

This location (the first and original Eulmildae) is situated in a less-developed area in Seoul and the interiors are spartan. It doesn't make it less charming, however and I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner there.

The reason I docked 1 star is due to their soo-yook (thinly-sliced boiled brisket), which we ordered separately. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either (a few slices were set on top of the Naengmyeon too and, thankfully, it didn't affect the noodle's flavor). Their Nokdujeon (mungbean pancakes) were excellent (though somewhat brittle, even if you know your way around your chopsticks) - when you want to pick up a piece, I suggest using your spoon to support (or even scoop up) the pieces.

Will definitely return (though, I am not sure whether to this location or to one of their other locations sprinkled throughout other...

１９７１年　創業。。。 先代が　平壌冷麺を忠実に再現。。 冷麺(물냉면)　15000₩ ビビン冷麺(비빔냉면) 15000₩ 緑豆チヂミ(녹두전)12000₩

注文。。 やかん　と　ステンレスのコップガデてきた　最初はお茶だと思い　コップに注ぐと　白いスープ　寒い日。。温まりました。。 牛だしスープ　冷麺用のスープを温めたもの　少し塩を入れても美味しいかも。。

冷麺　ビビン冷麺　登場。。

冷麺(물냉면) シャリシャリの牛骨スープに麺と 具が綺麗に飾られていました。。 麺とスープ　よく絡み　辛子で味をととのえました。。。少し塩を入れても良いかもしれません。。 最高に美味しかった。

ビビン冷麺(비빔냉면)　辛さも旨味も凝縮。。良い辛さです★★★★★ 辛いのが不得意の方は　夜間のスープを少し入れても良いかもしれません。★★★★★

今回　１番驚かされたのが。。 緑豆チヂミ(녹두전)12000₩ サクサクして　中身に牛肉も入っていて　とても美味しかった。。 実は　冷麺とビビン冷麺　だけ注文をしていたのですが　周り皆　緑豆チヂミを注文していたので 注文して　おお当たり。。 最高に美味しかったです。★★★★★

店の雰囲気　昔にタイム・スリップした様な気がするが　このまま 良い雰囲気で営業してもらいたい。。　良い雰囲気美味しい　冷麺でした。。

commande. . Une bouilloire et une tasse en acier inoxydable sont sorties. Au début, j'ai pensé que c'était du thé, mais quand je l'ai versé dans la tasse, c'était une soupe blanche. C'était une journée froide. . Ça s'est réchauffé. . Soupe au bouillon de bœuf Soupe chaude et froide aux nouilles. Elle peut être délicieuse avec un peu de sel. .

Reimen Bibim reimen est maintenant disponible. .

Nouilles froides (물냉면) Soupe croustillante d'os de boeuf aux nouilles Les meubles étaient joliment décorés. . Les nouilles et la soupe sont bien mélangées et assaisonnées de moutarde. . . Vous pouvez ajouter un peu de sel. . C'était délicieux.

Bibim Naengmyeon (비빔냉면) Épicé et saveur concentrés. . Bon piquant★★★★★ Si vous n'aimez pas la nourriture épicée, vous pouvez ajouter un peu de soupe de nuit. ★★★★★

Ce qui m'a le plus surpris cette fois. . Crêpe aux haricots mungo (녹두전) 12000₩ C'était croustillant et il y avait du boeuf à l'intérieur, et c'était délicieux. . En fait, je ne commandais que des nouilles froides et des nouilles froides bibim, mais tout le monde autour de moi commandait des pancakes aux haricots mungo. Je l'ai commandé et ce fut un grand succès. . C'était délicieux. ★★★★★

L'atmosphère du restaurant vous donne l'impression d'avoir glissé dans le temps, mais c'est toujours là Je veux que vous fassiez des affaires dans une bonne ambiance. . Bonne ambiance, délicieuses...

I can’t get enough of 평양냉면 (Pyeongyang naengmyeon) in the summer, and this place is hands down one of the best spots for it. The broth is subtle yet deeply flavorful, the noodles have just the right chew, and the overall balance is exactly what I crave on a hot day.

The only downside? The wait. It’s always packed, and the line can test your patience—especially during peak hours. But honestly, the 냉면 here is worth every minute of that wait. It’s one of those rare places where you remind yourself: “I came for the noodles, and I’ll wait as long as it takes.”
