I ordered the soy marinated crab ✨ 🦀 ✨ and it was some of the best, most scrumptious crab I’ve ever had in my life and it was RAW. Never had raw crab, but it was better than most cooked crab I’ve eaten.

A ⚠️ WARNING ⚠️ to anyone who orders it- be prepared for a challenge. You think picking the meat out of cooked crab is hard? HAHA. You have no idea how much harder the meat is when it’s raw to scrape out. I looked helplessly at the waiter when it came time to crack open the legs and he suggested I use my TEETH. I mean ya that makes sense, but I currently can’t bite down on anything hard and let me tell you the exoskeleton of this crab was practically made of sheet metal.

That crab’s spirit was giving me a serious fight from beyond the grave.

If you’re on a date and trying to look like a vision of loveliness radiating table grace and etiquette for your special, romantic someone… maybe order something else because you WILL look like a rabid, wild animal trying to pry and pick at the flesh from the carapace of this deceased animal. Think wolf gnawing off the last morsel meat bits from a...

Dropped by here on a weekday for an early lunch as a solo diner and I can not recommend this place enough!

It is tucked at the end of a quieter alley, but Naver maps knows the way. Look out for the sign on the pillar and head up the stairs (refer to pic).

I was greeted with a smile by the staff, and promptly brought to a seat. The place has a cosy but comfortable setting, with just the right amount of lunch-time chatter from office workers and aroma of the foods.

I ordered the grilled fish set, and did not have to wait long at all. There is a variety of items on the menu which would cater to people with different tastes and preferences.

When served, the staff patiently explained each banchan item. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal- fish was perfectly flaky yet still juicy. But the highlight would have to be the acorn jelly banchan! It was my first time trying it and I find myself looking out for it each time I enter a restaurant now.

Price is also very reasonable and affordable. I totally see myself coming back again, during this...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Delicious Home-Style Korean Meal in Seongsu-dong @ Grandmother’s recipe

We stumbled upon this cozy spot in Seongsu-dong and were immediately drawn to the inviting atmosphere and beautifully presented dishes. Everything we ordered was simply outstanding, the grilled fish was perfectly seasoned and crisp on the outside, the bulgogi bibimbap was full of flavour and texture, the stir-fried pork was rich and satisfying, and the beef patties were juicy and tender.

Each dish tasted like it was made with care, following an authentic home-cooked recipe, bringing that warm, comforting feeling of traditional Korean food. The presentation was lovely, and the meal felt wholesome and balanced, truly a reflection of grandmother’s-style cooking done right.

If you are in Seongsu-dong and craving a hearty, authentic Korean meal served with sincerity, this is definitely a place...

Worth every single minutes taken to reach here. We came here in the morning, and there was already queue forming. So I will suggest to come here earlier so that you wont have to wait for too long. First of all food was excellent, it is simple food, nothing extravaganza, but that is the whole idea, simple food that taste good. We have ordered, stir-fried pork, grilled fish, hamburger steak, and mushroom combination. every meal come with the side dishes that compliment the main dish. all the meal that we had was right on spot in term of the taste, not too sweet nor salty and it taste exactly like a homecooked food. overall ambiance feels like you are eating at home, simple and nice. service was quick and prompt. Highly recommend this place for whoever visiting Seoul, after all the fried, spicy street food, it is nice to come here relax and enjoy some wholesome homecooked meal.
