What a shame! The seafood was incredibly fresh, but unfortunately, we didn’t choose the right restaurant. This particular restaurant only offered steamed dishes, and while steaming is a great method for some seafood, everything ended up overcooked. The blood cockles, in particular, weren’t cleaned properly, which was disappointing.
If you’re visiting Noryangjin Fisheries Wholesale Market, I highly recommend picking a restaurant that offers a variety of cooking methods, otherwise, the fresh ingredients might go to waste. Luckily, the king crab, which we steamed, turned out well, so at least the most expensive item on the menu was satisfying.
