A small little bingsu cafe. Compared to other bingsu cafes, the servings at homilpat are smaller, of course at a lower price as well. This makes it manageable for small eaters who do not wish to pay more for a larger serving, or even individuals who may not want to tackle a giant bowl themselves. Flavours are not as extensive as other chains, and they are definitely more simple. The coffee bingsu came simply as bingsu with coffee powder along with a bowl of red bean paste and mochi. All the bingsu here are served with red bean paste, with the basic option being just bingsu and red bean. The red bean is served separately which allows you to scoop onto the bingsu and ensure that every mouthful, even at the bottom, is accompanied by the topping. The focus here is definitely more on the basic red bean bingsu, with other flavours giving a twist but not deviating from that ethos. It is unlike other chains that comes with illustrious flavours and toppings such as chocolate banana or brownies, but does well in what it aims to serve. Making its own red bean paste from scratch, Homilbat is known by local for their super fine powder-like bingsu. Other than summer special Coffee Bingsu, signature Milk Bingsu (KRW7,900) and Green Tea Bingsu (KRW8,500) are permanently on the menu.
