J&ROD'S BBQ — Restaurant in Seoul

Surprisingly loved this place!! Legit smoked bbq and in my opinion, better than manimal, locos, or Linus. The pulled pork was the highlight for sure and best I had in seoul that I remember. The brisket wasn't dry except the last piece and solid. The ribs fell of the bone as they should when smoked. Skimp on sauce but it's Korea. The Cajun fries were good. The beans or coleslaw were whatever but you are there for the meat so can accept that. Also a good selection of craft beer. Pumpkin ale was fire but seasonal and rare to see in Korea so happy. The Texas BBQ is excellent. The brisket is a little light on flavor, but good smoke ring. Pulled pork is tender and goes well with the smokey bbq sauce. Ribs fall off the bone. Fries are even good. A bit pricey, but also, the only spot you'll find Texas BBQ unless there is a spot in itaweon. Recommend.

This place is closed. We searched and searched in the rain last night 19 May 2025 and couldn’t find it. All the shopkeepers said the business was gone. The google listing needs to be updated. It’s still showing as open and operating but don’t waste your time. Other options in the area or nearby, shame some of the other smokehouses...
