I am really satisfied with my stay at H Hostel Itaewon.

Location: The hostel has amazing subway and bus connections. You can take line 6 (brown) at Itaewon Station to nearly every major neighborhood/attraction in under 25 minutes (which is normal for Seoul since it's a very big city geographically). Even Gangnam is not far by bus, only 25 minutes. You have convenience stores near the hostel, 7 Eleven or CU, just a 2 minute walk. There's also various options of restaurants and cafés. The street itself was cute, many antique secondhand shops. Itaewon is known for its internationality and diversity. So you'll also find many tourists and non-Koreans there. Itaewon has great shopping options, however, I did not really shop there, I went to Hongdae or Myeongdong to do that for the most part. It's around 90 minutes by bus and airport railway (Seoul Station) from Incheon Airport to Itaewon.

Room and hostel: I had a deluxe single room with my own bathroom. I was very pleased on my arrival and excited to stay there for 7 days. The room was big enough for a single person, the bathroom was clean and offered free shampoo, conditioner and body wash. I had a TV in my room and watched local Korean TV and variety shows. The view was decent and I could use the blinds since sunrise is very early during the summer. The bed was comfortable, too. You were able to control the temperatures of the air conditioning, which I liked too. If you need to wash your clothes, there's a laundry room on floor 4. Laundry detergent costs 1000KRW, around 0,80EUR, which you can get at the reception. The use of the washing machine and dryer is free and they have modern machines. There's also drying racks if you need to use those. The management was very friendly and nice. Every morning from 8-10am there is breakfast offered on the fifth floor (lobby hall). Breakfast wasn't very traditionally Korean nor did it have a wide variety, but it was fine if you were too lazy to go to the convenience store. The lobby hall on the fifth floor even had modern Japanese toilets with remotes and bidets. The rooftop on the sixth floor is underrated. Very pretty view. If you arrive before 3pm, you can store your luggage in the lobby hall. Early check in is sadly not possible. There's room cleaning service, but only every 3 days. So if you're staying more than 3 days, you can get your room cleaned every 3 days. I stayed for 7 days and I had no need to get my room cleaned. You can always ask for...

This is my second time staying here. Obviously the hotel was not bad on our first stay, thats why we are back for the second stay. As we need to go to the airport at 6-7am to catch our flight, the receptionist is not available during night time till like 8-9am in the morning. We booked the whole stay via Agoda. So during midnight we called the hostel number via agoda app to ask how do we check out if there’s no staff (partially it was our fault because we didnt inform them we are going to check out tomorrow before breakfast time). When we called, the person just said that now is not their working hour and we cant just leave our key in the reception or even inside the room. He just hang up our call after we literally just asked “what should we do then?”. This is very unprofessional. Luckily we booked via Agoda and Agoda did suggested us to leave the key in the room due to this circumstances. Horrible experience. Cut off client’s call due to urgent matters is very unprofessional. The least that they can do is check with every clients during check in time “when and what time clients are going to check out as the receptionist wont be...

Location was perfect especially if you enjoy the area of itaewon, also easy access to tons of neighboring F&Bs, entertainment areas, convenience stores and the subway as well. Everything was a short walk away, even to the hannam area. I also extended my trip and stay at H Hostel for another 9 nights as i really enjoyed my stay and the location. I booked the single deluxe but was kindly upgraded to the double due to my long stay, i also then extended to keep the same double room staying a total of 18 nights.Space and room was very clean and aesthetically pleasing, rooftop had a great view and staff were helpful and respectful as well. All amenities work well except toilet flush was a little weak but had no issues of blockage in my stay, just had to multiflush. One thing i feel could be improved would be possibly having a hot water kettle for each room and/or microwave + water dispenser & kettle for each floor as these are non accessible on L5 after 10pm. I did work around this but that would definitely have made the stay perfect. Overall i would highly recommend and would stay again if i come...

What a wonderful hostel!! The single room was perfect for a solo traveler: double bed, window, small fridge, writing desk and a coat/clothes rack. Outlet by the bed even had a ISB-C port!! The price was great, hard to beat it in Seoul — particularly for the quality and the location. Breakfast included fresh eggs you could cook your own way, whole wheat bread for toast, cereal, coffee. Good WiFi. Common area is great for a laptop session. Rooftop deck is spacious with wrap-around views of the city. One of the best hostels I have stayed at anywhere in the world. Though if you want a party hostel this is not the place for you. Neighborhood has lots of late night food options, bars, etc.

Staying at H Hostel in Itaewon. I rarely say where I am staying because they are usually upscale hotels and you get what you pay for no surprises. However this time I chose to stay at a Hostel (my first). And I am very pleased to say it is a great experience so far. I did book a solo room and not a bunk bed but. I just love the location, breakfast 🍳 the gathering space on the 5th floor is bright and inviting. The room is smallish but bed is very comfortable and it has a view. A A+ value Great rooftop deck
