Mao — Restaurant in Seoul

I gave this place two stars out of generosity because the food was not totally awful. We entered the restaurant on a Saturday night and it was incredibly noisy, with local people screaming at one another. The table was sticky and had been given only a cursory wipe before we were seated. We had to get up and find our server when we wanted to order because of the other screaming diners, nobody could hear anything. Impossible to hold a conversation without shouting. Restroom was absolutely filthy, with water and urine all over the floor. There was vomit near the floor of the men's restroom but nobody bothered to mop it up. Toilets were overflowing and local men were spitting on the floor in the bathroom. Out front as we exited, more local men were spitting on the floor and smoking. I wanted to take a giant decontamination shower after visiting this restaurant. The Hongdae branch features less shouting...

we are two foreigners dropped in for lunch to get some beijing duck, the watress got super rude when we didn't want to sit at a corner table she "designated" to us, while the place was empty it was early noon! she throws plates and spoons on our table casually with loud bang, talking rude and impatiently, it was the worst service ever,

the food was "meh", not the good beijing duck, and wasn't fresh, it was not freshly roasted you can tell it's colder than it supposed to be and nowhere tender as ones we had in other places.

overall super bad service and extremely expensive, plus the rude service was just beyond the top.
