Poom Seoul — Restaurant in Seoul

Food was excellent. Nothing I didn't enjoy, even for my western palette. Service was good but nothing special. The restaurant is a little hard to find, and it is a bit difficult to get in or out of a taxi at this location due to the busy road. If you enter the building with art studios you are probably in the building across the parking lot.

Regarding price, I found this place a bit overpriced. You definitely get good quality food, but a $200 lunch for 6 courses and 4 small glasses of soju is a bit much. Overall I'd recommend this place, but just expect to pay a lot and expect decent service. I should also mention there were only 2 people in the entire restaurant for lunch, me and a French guy at another table. Apparently dinner reservations were full so if you find yourself in a similar situation...

Returned second time to taste a more elaborate dinner menu. Minimalist ambience, very comfortable and spacious too. Food was beautifully plated, fresh and 'clean taste'. The grilled hanwoo striploin was nicely done and succulent. They have a wonderful Korean rice wine which is only available to restaurants. Very clear and lightly sweet that complements all the dishes. Attentive...

Service was great..was late about 30minutes due to miscommunication with the cab driver...but the food made up for the frustarations..ambient is cozy with the view of the city and seoul tower.. Highly recommend to go during dinner because...
