Sundae Silrok — Restaurant in Seoul

I visited this restaurant last Saturday and instantly felt how much people love this place—it has that warm, welcoming vibe. The good news is that even though it’s clearly popular, there are plenty of seats available, and the space is quite spacious and comfortable. I also really appreciated that they have seating designed for solo diners, which makes it a nice spot to enjoy a meal alone without feeling out of place.

Food-wise, I brought two of my Filipino friends with me because I wanted them to experience authentic Korean cuisine and they absolutely loved it! They’re usually not into Sundae (Korean blood sausage), but they were pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was here. The way this restaurant prepares their dishes really stands out.

As someone who’s familiar with Korean food, I can honestly say the flavors here aren’t just your average—they’re special. We ended up ordering a lot (couldn’t help it!) and enjoyed every bite. One of my personal favorites was the traditional Korean rice drink (I forgot the name, but you’ll know it when you see it—it’s refreshing and slightly sweet!).

Their menu has so many options, whether you're craving something comforting or adventurous. This place is definitely worth a visit. Come hungry, and don’t be afraid to try...

Really good sundae! Made the traditional way. Get the set (정식) for 13k - sundae soup, rice, and a platter consisting of 3 slices x 2 types of sundae + 4 slices of cold boiled pork (heavenly). Everything was super savory and delicious. I eat a lot, but the platter was enough for me!

Minus 1 star for service as they only have naver pay QR code for the solo seats and it was unclear how to order. I approached the counter to ask but the boss (not sure if he's the boss) was somewhat rude and shouted at 1 of the waiters to take my order. Saw him being polite to some elderly customers, so I hope that wasn't because I look foreigner (I spoke in fluent korean to him). Aside from that, all the other staff were super friendly and helpful, so...

The staff was extremely friendly and smiled whenever we interacted. The menu was quite diverse with many different Soondae options. I tried several different dishes like the traditional Soondae, Hotplate/panfried Soondae with rice cakes, Suyuk (boiled pork slices), and the Soondae Steak. They were all really good but the one that stood out to me was the Soondae Steak. It was grilled well and it was crispy on the outside but tender on the inside. It was even served with special sauces for dipping. I had a few Soondae dishes here, but each one was different from the other with unique textures and spices to complement them.
