The strawberry souffle pancake was hands down one of the best desserts I’ve ever tried. I like strawberry shortcakes a lot, and having it turned into a light, bouncy souffle texture, with fluffy and milky cream, fresh strawberrys and wrapped in stretchy mochi skin - I will think back on this experience for a long time. It was irritatingly crowded on a weekday afternoon when I went, I had to wait 40mins to get a table and then another 20min to get the food, but it was worth it to me.

If i had to go back again I’d switch out the hot chocolate for some other drink since it was too sweet.

I wandered up the hill to Café Tortoise in Haebangchon, and it was so well worth the walk. A true gem for fans of light, sweet treats and cozy vibes. Ps, the way up the hill wasn’t easy hahaha I tried mochi peach soufflé pancake: Fluffy, pillowy, and not overly sweet, with a luscious peach filling. The mochi texture added a uniquely delicious chewiness, setting it apart from ordinary pancakes.
