Just over the wall from the grounds of Changdeok palace, in the historic suburb of Seoulโs Bukchon village, sits speciality cafe TXT Coffee. Designed by brand curator and interior architect firm "The - First Penguin", TXT has a distinctly Korean vibe to it; the cups are Koryo celadon green, the window looks out onto traditional Korean hanok roofs and the shelves are neatly arranged akin to a herbal medicine shop (ํ์ฝ๋ฐฉ). Another unique aspect here is the style of their white coffees. Lattes, Flat Whites and Cappuccinos are all served ristretto based as opposed to the standard espresso recipe. Roasted beans on offer at the time of visiting included: El Salvador Santa Rosa, Colombia Santa Monica, Panama Elida* Geisha ASD Natural and Panama Esmeralda Special Geisha (Noria Micro-Lot). Famously from the same estate that won "the best of Panama" auction in 2019.
Other speciality cafes designed by "The - First Penguin" include Parched Seoul, Greenmile Bukchon, Brewing Ceremony and...

I like the little coffee note cards which you can keep and the attention to detail by the owner in preparing the drinks. The atmosphere is relaxing and does not give off any kind of hipster vibe that you will find in most of Seoul cafes. This is a cafe to rest and enjoy your...

Do ask the barista for some seasonal selection. Definitely one of the yummiest pour over I have had. So as his chilled...
