가보정 1관 — Restaurant in Suwon-si

Visited this place with my girlfriend and had the worst experience. This place has three buildings with literally over 1000 seats, and they basically tell customers which building and which floor to go when enter the building.

When I first walked in, the employee there told us to go to the 4th floor of another building, which turned out to be a banquet floor.

They gave us a table next to a group of about 20 drunk ppl, some of which started singing drunk and using foul languages. There were lots of other families in the room, and they all seemed agitated by the scenes.

None of the servers there intervened. Instead they would even walk away from our table in the middle of serving us food to do other things and not come back for several minutes until we asked them to come back and put the rest of the food on the table. This happened several times. They even left the table while they were grilling the meat and didnt come back. They never apologized for their leaving or asked us to excuse them for a moment when they had to leave to do other things. They didnt tell us if the meat was done or if they were coming back soon tk finish grilling the meat. They did not communicate with us at all.

Things got even worse when they made families of six, 4 of them being kids, sit next to us later, so we were basically eating squeezed between a group of 20 drunk people and families with kids screaming and obnoxious moms yelling at them to shut up. (The literally told their kids to shut up loudly over and over)

I was so angry, agitated, and distracted that I couldn't even feel the taste of the meat, so I ended up doing something I had never done in my life - walking up to the servers there and telling them how awful of service I was getting for a meal that is over $50 per person. I asked to see the manager on the way out. She apologized for the bad service but didnt really show any sense of responsibility. She said "oh wow, Im sorry for your experience" and that was it. She didnt ask for any details, offer any compensation, promise for a better service next time, or tell us how she would manage the situation. She treated it as if we just had a bad luck and she had nothing to do with it. It was probably one of the worst services I have gotten in my life at a restaurant.

And another important thing to note is that the quality of food dropped to a sub-par level. I had visited this place several times before this incident happened. the meat and side dishes were so much better at the times. Then the service and food quality just went down a spiral together.

This place has so many customers so they forget the basic of how to treat their customers. Seriously, what kind of restaurant puts a couple right next to a group of 20 drunk people? So if you want to try your luck, visit this place by all means, otherwise, I suggest you find another good fancy beef restaurant because there are plenty others in the city.

형편없는 서비스에 기분 잡치고 나왔습니다.

여자친구랑 둘이서 방문했는데 연회장에 자리를 주더라구요. 앉았더니 바로 옆에 20명정도 되는 회식팀이 술판 벌여서 한 아저씨는 노래쳐부르고 있고 다른 아저씨는 상스러운 말하면서 소리지르고 있는데 서빙아줌마들은 아무말도 안하네요. 그 연회장 방 안에 보니까 조용하게 밥먹으려고 온 가족들도 많던데 다들 기분 언짢아서 회식하는 팀 쳐다보고..

심지어 저희 테이블엔 반찬 올려놓다가 갑자기 아무말도 없이 다른 테이블가서 고기굽고 음식/반찬 서빙하고 있음 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 5분 정도 기다리다가 반찬 서빙 안해주냐고 하니까 기다리라고 함. 나중에는 미취학 아동 4명을과 상스러운 말로 애들한테 소리지르는 엄마 2명으로 이루어진 킴을 저희 옆에 앉혀서, 오붓하게 고급식당에 식사하러 온 커플이 한쪽에는 노래하고 욕하는 20명 회식팀이랑 시끄럽게 소리지르는 6명 가족팀 사이에 껴서 밥 먹고 있네요 ㅎㅎ

서빙하는 사람도 중간에 고기도 구워주다가 아무말도 없이 갑자기 다른팀가서 고기굽고있고 어쩌라는건지.. 심지어 반찬 올려놓다가 딴 테이블로 가서 5분 넘게 카트에 실린 반찬들 구경하고 있었습니다. 부르기 전까지는 돌아오지도 않더라구요.

여자친구 앞인데도 너무 열받아서 표정관리 못하고 울그락불그락 거리다가 일어나서 따졌습니다 우리가 왜 이딴 서비스를 받아야하고 무슨 식당이 커플손님을 회식팀 옆 테이블에 주냐고. 진짜 일인당 5만원넘게 주고 밥먹는 곳에서 이딴 서비스 받아야하나 생각들었습니다.

한우생갈비로 먹었는데 맛도 작년에 방문했을때보다 많이 떨어졌었습니다. 향은 밋밋하고 질감도 많이 질겼서 이게 1인분에 5만원 넘는게 맞나 생각했습니다. 양념게장도 신선도가 많이 떨어졌구요.

무엇보다 시끄러운 회식팀이랑 수준낮은 서비스에 열 받아서 음식이 코로 넘어가는지 입으로 넘어가는지 몰랐습니다. 날 잡아서 한 시간 반 동안 운전해서 갔더니 한우갈비 먹었다는 기억안나고 더럽고 짜증나는 기억만 남은 식당입니다. 참고로 2인 손님 예약은 받아주지도 않았습니다.

나가는 길에 매니저 불러서 따졌더니 “그러셨어요? 아유 죄송합니다” 이렇게 저희가 마치 운이 없었다는 듯한 말투로 사과 한마디하고 말더라구요. 매니저가 직원들 눈치보는건지...ㅋㅋ 단연코 제 인생에서 가장 더러웠던...

Yummy Korean bbq (also has raw beef tartar and a lunch menu that runs out fast) with lots of side dishes that you can ask for refills on (most of them--they won't do it for the fries pumpkin cakes or tomatoes with Chinese yams). Free dessert at the end.

On the pricier side if you stick with Korean beef but definitely affordable if you're going with the American ones. I usually order unwarranted Korean beef and marinated American beef. You can order 1 of each and that will be enough for 2 people. Unique korean alcoholic beverages are offered as well.

If you make an appointment in advance, you can ask for a private room!

Definitely optional, but PRE-tip the server (￦10,000-￦20,000 depending on the size of your party and the amount of food you order) who will be tending to your grill--she/he will definitely come by more often and be much faster on those refills if you do so. Tipping is not customary in Korean restaurants.

For some of the seats and the bathroom you need to take your shoes off and the staff will put them away for you in shoe racks so no need to panic if you don't see your shoes right away when you're trying to leave! 역대급 최악의 서비스였네요. 맛은 평범. It was the terribly worst service ever. Staffs of parking building were the first terrible service experience. They have no idea how to solve the filled building space problems. They just took all the cars who wanted to get in the building. And they just stack the car one by one as a block. After the terrible parking time, a waitress working for our room was roughly took the dishes whole time. While we were eating inside the room, she suddenly and roughly open the door and get in quickly.
