Cafetería La Granera — Restaurant in A Coruña

Do not go for the 20 euro brunch, it is not worth it and they will serve you bland sandwiches and call them "Fingers" with the lame excuse that Fingers means Sandwich in English. This is FALSE - I am American and in no menu does "Fingers" mean sandwich. We do have something in English called "Finger Sandwiches" but they are smaller and NOT called Fingers. Fingers would be like chicken fingers or long croquetas. As you can see from the photo - these FINGER SANDWICHES left a lot to be desired. They gave plain white bread with tomato and cheese and plain white bread with spinach and a cream cheese spread. The bread was soggy and just not good. The buñuelos de boñato were slimey and had zero taste and overall just disgusting.

I will say that the cheesecake, the french toast, and the eggs benedict were pretty good. I would suggest that they reduce the price and only serve those items because the rest was very bad and ruined the experience of the brunch. 20 Euros is very expensive for the quality of food...

I love this restaurant! First we went there for a breakfast, and it was tasty and big:) Good price for 2 meals (toast with hamon + orange juice + tea, and acai bowl with coffe) just €12,40. Then we came for dinner, and waitress recommended us to try nachos. Omg, just perfect! Very big portion, for 2 person and very tasty. Also we tried dumplings with shrimps and it was sooo good. 2 dishes and beverages costed ~20€ and we were really full and happy:) Last, but mot least - here you can find a waiter who speaks English. No voy a juzgar un local por una mala situación de un día porque a este local le tenía puesto 5 estrellas pero me parece que si haces una doble reseña sólo se muestra la última. Me había tomado dos tragos de la caña, salgo a fumar, me retiran la cerveza y ocupa mi mesa una gente. La mesa que ocupe está entrando a la derecha y fue un poquito antes de las 21:30h del 8 de marzo de 2025 cuando sufrí está situación. Miro si está el camarero que me sirvió y no está en ese lado. Se lo digo a la camarera que está en el ese lado y dice que no sabe nada. Me voy al lado izquierdo y encuentro al camarero que me sirvió, tampoco sabe nada. Me dice que me va a poner una cerveza y le digo que le espero en la mesa que ya habían ocupado por haber retirado la cerveza. Viene el camarero con las consumiciones de las tres personas, que estaban en la mesa que ya había cogido yo antes porque esperaba a unas amigas, y dos cañas. Sirven antes a los que me cogieron la mesa y no me sirven la caña. Tardé cinco segundos en reaccionar. Les dije que no me la pusieran y que no les pagaba. Me cortaron el buen rollo y eso sí que no tiene precio. Sólo faltaba que me dijeran algo porque hago una hoja de reclamaciones que ni la Biblia en verso y, además, me tendrían que aguantar que eso tampoco tiene precio, les iba a salir caro. Yo soy muy educado pero no soporto que me falten al respeto. Me fui a la parada del bus y me fui con mal rollo a casa. Ya en el bus, me llamaron mis amigas diciendo que estaban en el local y estuvieron esperando mesa. Y pensé: pero si yo ya tenía una cogida! Conclusión: Yo de mala leche cuando estaba totalmente satisfecho esperando por mis amigas. Ahora ya se me ha pasado y estoy más tranquilo pero creo que debo poner está reseña para que depuren responsabilidades con el servicio y, sobre todo, al que es responsable de esa política de rotación de mesas exacerbada.
