My family and I entered this restaurant by mistake and it was the best mistake I have made in a while. A welcoming light interior with a sophisticated tone. Complemented by the perfect blend of soft melodies in the background, the ambiance was both cozy and refined—ideal for an unforgettable dining experience.
The service was impeccable from start to finish. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food they were serving.
The menu, though limited, was a testament to quality over quantity. Each dish was prepared with the freshest ingredients, ensuring an authentic and flavorful Italian feast. I believe this focus on a smaller selection of dishes allowed the chefs to perfect each offering, and it certainly showed.
I opted for the pasta puttanesca, which was an explosion of vibrant flavours. The perfectly cooked pasta was enveloped in a rich, tangy sauce with just the right amount of olives and capers, creating a balanced and satisfying dish. My family members savored the carbonara and the pumpkin and ricotta ravioli. The carbonara was creamy, with a delightful pecorino flavour. The pumpkin and ricotta ravioli, on the other hand, was a masterclass in texture and taste, with the sweetness of the pumpkin beautifully offset by the creamy ricotta and a delicious broth-like sauce to bring it all together.
The desserts were nothing short of spectacular. We indulged in a generous portion of tiramisu, which was light, creamy, and decadently delicious. The panna cotta was silky smooth, with a perfect wobble and just the right amount of sweet and tart tinges from the berries. The highlight, however, was the Sicilian cannolis. Filled with a luscious chocolate cream and topped with crunchy pistachios, they were a delightful end to a perfect meal.
I could not fault a single item that we tried. Every dish was crafted with care and attention to detail, reflecting the true essence of Italian cuisine. This restaurant has undoubtedly earned a special place in my heart, and I would definitely return for another taste of their incredible offerings....
Read moreHaving visited some of Spain’s finest Michelin-starred restaurants, including Dos Palillos in Barcelona, I thought I knew what to expect. Italian food seemed the right choice—but nothing truly prepared me for the experience at Otto.
From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was a welcome relief from the noisy, rushed, and crowded restaurants so common in the area. I was warmly greeted by a young waitress and Lucia, one of the owners. Unlike the hurried service I’ve grown accustomed to elsewhere, Lucia took her time to describe each dish and thoughtfully recommended the best wine pairings. It was immediately clear she knew not only the menu but the philosophy behind every plate.
Lucia shared that she trained at Cordon Bleu, and her approach reflects discipline, care, and a commitment to freshness, local, and organic ingredients. Each dish—Carpaccio di Manzo, Burrata con Caponata, Supplì al Telefono, Carbonara, Pumpkin Tortellini, and Spaghetti all’Amatriciana—showcased balance, authenticity, and respect for the ingredients.
The supplì were so light I paused, excited at how such simplicity could create such perfection. The pumpkin tortellini seemed to float on the plate, flavours lingering long after each bite. I had come expecting a hearty meal, but I left with a transcendent culinary experience—what I can only call next-level cuisine.
I met the chef, Michele Peroni, and he was exactly what his food promised: humble, gentle, skilled, and passionately devoted to his craft. His generosity and explanation of the technique behind each dish elevated the experience even further.
Weeks later, travelling through Sevilla, Lisbon, Amsterdam, Austria, Germany, and Australia, I realised nothing matched Otto’s purity of flavour, consistency, and artistry. Otto is not just a restaurant—it is a sanctuary for anyone seeking cuisine that delights every sense. Unforgettable....
Read moreWe stumbled upon Otto based on a glowing recommendation, and it truly was the best tip we've received in a long time! From the moment we walked in, the kindness and professionalism of the staff set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. The authentic Italian dishes on the menu were mouth-watering and hard to choose from, but we weren't disappointed with any of our choices.
The Baccala Mantecato was a revelation - a perfect combination of flavors we'd never tried before. The Vitello Tonnato was delicate yet packed with flavor, and the Suppli al Telefono rice croquettes were a must-try. For mains, the Spaghetti alle Vongole, Amatriciana, Carbonara, and Tortellini with pumpkin were all incredible. And let's not forget the desserts - every single one on the menu was divine, with the homemade Sicilian Cannoli being a standout.
The coffee was delicious, and the selection of Spritz cocktails was fantastic. What truly makes Otto special, however, is the love and passion that the owners, a lovely married couple, bring to every aspect of the restaurant. Their dedication to sharing their passion for hospitality with customers is evident in every detail and you can taste the dedication and care in every dish. We're already counting down the days until our next visit. Grazie mille for a wonderful dining experience - we'll...
