I am a regular customer who will never come back. I could see how this place went from "nice" to "mediocre". First, the attention became horrible..it seems that the waitress isn't happy with her job and that is looking forward to go home. It felt like she was unhappy that some customers arrived. It's the second time that we felt that..last time staff started taking the garbage out while we were eating..passing next to us with big garbage bins and bags. Ok guys, we got the message. Besides that, the food became horrible. The seafood plate isn't tasty at all! Instead of Lagosta they served us Bogavante (again) and all the seafood, except for the Lobster seemed to be frozen. The shrimp were hard like a stone and basically we couldn't enjoy almost any of the seafood served ( razor shells were not tasty, scallops neither) . It's a pity but due to poor service and poor food they lost a regular customer. I have the feeling they don't like us or to serve the seafood plate.. I really don't understand. Anyway there are plenty of good options next to this restaurant with real fresh...
Read moreI dined here at 7ish on. Wednesday, when there was only one other table. The server mentioned he is new to this, which is understandable, but some basic training will go a long way. The prices are much higher from the picture compared to what was provided. Nevertheless I thought I'll settle with the lamb. It was extremely disappointing when I was served what looked like leftovers with some meat hanging off the bones, 4 pieces of vegetable (2pcs of cold mushroom and two slices of zucchini) and a side of fries that were clearly from out of a frozen bag. Fries and bones were over seasoned with salt and zucchini and oysters were bland.
When served, I looked at the server and gestures to talk to him. He never came to check although he was in and out when serving the one other table. For €20, this is a complete ripoff. Find someplace...
Read moreFrom the minute we sat down, yes pilgrams, we were greeted with a warm and relaxing welcome. Our server took the time to explain the dishes, wines, and options. She did not seem rushed, or annoyed or put out by having to tend to our questions, or any of the other guests at tables near by. They easily offered to charge a phone, or help guests find their way, find a hotel, or in my case a ride to Oia. The family that runs this place are exceptional in what it means to be welcomed into another country, or into their establishment. I am so grateful. The food was also excellent! I had fresh grilled Sole with potatoes and a salad, my friend had an excellent fresh grilled salmon salad. I really encourage stopping here, treating them as kindly as they will treat you, and feel great about the whole exchange between people...
