Bar Hawai — Restaurant in Alcúdia

We stayed at the Ivory Playa Hotel both in 2017 and in August 2019. We came across Bar Hawaii on a walk to the beach as it is very close to the hotel. During our stay in 2017 we visited Bar Hawaii twice and had two great meals. Our two boys liked the children's menu. So on our recent visit we visited Bar Hawaii three times and on each occasion the food was excellent. Great pizzas and wonderful tuna salads! The older waiter dressed in black is excellent and very attentive. The younger waiter dressed in blue top with jeans can though be abrupt and could learn a bit from the older waiter! Front of house was my only gripe, they can be slow to get you your bill and they do focus more on the locals when they arrive later on! Otherwise, great place and would recommend Bar Hawaii to anyone staying in the Playa Muro...

First of all, I'll add that 3 stars only because you can't give halves. It should be 3.5 out of 5.

But to the brim. For a starter, I ordered garlic bread with mozzarella. The mozzarella was well done, but the bread itself was not baked enough, because it was soggy (you can see in the photo).

As a main course, I ordered two grilled dishes: "black pork" and lamb chops. The dishes were served with a bit of vegetables and a baked potato with mozzarella. The meat was well done, the vegetables were a bit "dry" and the potato itself was medium. However, everything was served quickly, despite the fact that we were asked twice what we had ordered.

Lovely meal here last night, nice location next to our hotel and down a side street leading to the beach. Hidden away and obviously popular with locals and holidaymakers, though not too busy at 8pm that we couldn't get a table. Staff were ever so helpful and polite. You could eat in the restaurant our outside on the path which was nice. My daughter had a pizza which she loved, my wife had lasagna and my son and his girlfriend shared a paella. I had probably one of the nicest burgers I'd ever had. Food and drink prices were very reasonable for the quality.
