Yumee — Restaurant in Alcúdia

Dear Owner/Manager, please ensure that your staff WASH THEIR HANDS before they touch food. During our visit, I witnessed a waitress who, after giving the bill and change, cleaned the table, scratched her face, and then went directly to cut our roll behind the kitchen counter. After that, with the same hands, she added ginger to the plate and brought it straight to our table. Later, the chef returned (she was talking on her phone) and without washing her hands (after touching the phone, door handles, and who knows what else), she started to dice our salmon tartar. We visited the restaurant with fairly high expectations, but the experience ended up being mixed.

The shrimp salad was okay but lacked finesse, it could’ve used more flavor and depth. The gyoza were unfortunately quite dry and a bit dull. On the bright side, the sweet potato fries were actually pretty good: crispy and flavorful. The cocktails were decent as well.

The clear highlight of the meal was the cheesecake. Absolutely fantastic! Worth coming back for just that.

The service, however, left something to be desired. The dishes didn’t arrive at the same time, and our child received their meal last, which felt thoughtless and a bit inconsiderate.

In hindsight, we probably ordered the wrong dishes. It seems like sushi might be their strong suit, and we’ll go for that if we give it...

Yumee was amazing! They were very friendly when we reserved over WhatsApp, which was so easy. When we got there, the waitress was kind, smiley and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious. We had tuna tartare, scallop nigiri and stewed aubergine on fresh small pita bread. My sister had a glass of sake that was served long, with sparkling water. She said it was excellent and matched the detailed description on the menu. Desserts were clearly homemade, and absolutely wonderful.
