Koma Sushi Mallorca | Restaurante asiático y de sushi en Alcúdia — Restaurant in Alcúdia

My partner and I came here after seeing Koma on our walks. It looks fab inside, a lovely oriental feel to the decor, whilst it occupies the Bananclub floor space. We were seated on the top floor (the room as you exit the lift) but we noticed there was a much bigger restaurant area with a bar downstairs. We ate chicken gyoza and yakitori starters and sushi damascus, shanghai and Mumbai for main, (see photos) and didn't have a complaint about any of it. All of the dishes were full of flavour and we felt it was within an expected price range. I have read one review mentioning that the sushi rolls were full of cream cheese...we didn't feel this at all, we could hardly taste it. We ate here on a Saturday night at 8pm, we were finished before 9pm, so no long delays for food either. We would recommend coming here for a nice meal whilst in the area, and would definitely...

Rating should be more a 3,5 rating but regarding the price-performance ratio it is leaning towards three stars only.

First off: the location is really different from other places and some people must have had a really long thought about that.

Service/waiters were really kind and thoughtful and even spoke German (which we didn't expect nor really needed, so still nice gesture).

Had a white Sangria which was really nice, but could have also been the warm and exhausting day :p

Food: We came here for the Sushi and the high rating and were a disappointed. Rice was not sticky enough, the fish was not the highest quality despite being well arranged for the eye. Some Sushi fell apart while dipping in sauce. The most important part: For the money spent it was too little on the plate regarding the quality overall.

Would not go there twice...

What a major disappointment this was. The restraint is attempting to be high-level dining experience, yet it was anything but.

We’ve had a reservation, and yet table wasn’t ready on arrival - waiter were scrambling for everything, and even when we sat down it wasn’t fully set, had to ask for cutlery. We wanted a table closer to edge of terrace, yet it was given to guests without reservation for whatever reason.

The service was appalling, there was an issue in every step. Forgetting dishes, forgetting drinks, bringing wrong wine, and then also being very nonchalant about it all.

The food was nice enough to earn the stars, and the portions were huge, so in terms of value it is good. However, it’s nothing what I expected or how it looks like from the website and...
