Unreliable and false promises for quad bike availability. We contacted Buggy Mallorca via their website 2 weeks before our arrival, it takes you to a WhatsApp chat where it says you can book. After waiting many hours for a response Buggy Mallorca confirmed we could rent 2 x 300cc quads on arrival to the island, we provided our names and holiday stay details. After check-in to our hotel we walked to Buggy Mallorca and showed the lady at the desk our WhatsApp chats confirming we had reserved the quads. She continued to tell us that quads cannot be booked via the WhatsApp chat (what is the chat for then and why did she confirm we had reserved the quads?!) and that there was no availability for 300cc or even 200cc quads all weekend. Despite being respectful and courteous it was difficult to not be disappointed at the situation. The lady was no help and did nothing to help us despite telling us we’d successfully reserved some quads for our trip. In the end we visited Rent&Enjoy which was around a 10 minute walk from Buggy Mallorca. We received much better customer service and the staff were truthful and honest. We managed to hire 2 quads at a great price. The thing that frustrated us the most was the during our trip we drove past Buggy Mallorca several times at different times of the day across 3 days. Each time we saw 5-6 quads parked up outside. In summary we had a bad experience with Buggy Mallorca and would not recommend. Rent & Enjoy in Alcudia were fantastic and we’d...
Read moreFirst experience with a buggy. I didn't like the experience, but some people might like, here are my cons and pros.
Cons : no freedom whatsover on the speed or direction, which gives no sensation. You follow other quads and are restricted by their driving. Locals show u with handsigns (thumbs down)that you're not welcomed, throw water at you, and I actually can understand them as this kind of tourism is absolutely bad to the environnement (noise/pollution). The car you will take doesn't go fast and does an enormous noise, to the pleasure of you and the locals :)
You will drive through clouds of orange sand. Prepare something to filter the air when u breath or you will finish the drive by spitting dark stuff out of ur mouth (no exageration)
The motor goes super high in temperature when you try to go fast so careful about this as well, and apply sunscreen because you will burn like a toast
Also, I didn't find the staff 'human' to us, they might have had bad experience with previous customers or something idk... Might be a bad day
Pros : you get to see some nice views, visit a restaurant at the highest place of the island, and enjoy a...
Read moreBooked a 2 hour buggy tour following a jeep around the inland roads and tracks around Alcudia. As the driver, it was good fun. As passenger probably less so. We made a stop to take in a view after 30 mins. After which it was mostly driving on a range of roads. The second stop was on a road with little to see. The staff were friendly and provided drinks during the tour. They were also happy to take your family photos for you. As an experience it was OK. Some of the track and roads we went on were quite tight and there was an element of off road. If you are hoping for a pure off road experience, this isn’t for you. We have no complaints with the provider themselves, just not sure it quite met our expectations or was quite value for money - especially if you are on a limited budget for...
