Objective rating of 3 and a half out of 5 stars. 3,5/5 ⭐
I decided to order lamb with garlic. Price: €19.90.
Unfortunately, the waiter informed me that they don't have lamb and breaded Milanese schnitzel either. So, I settled for lasagna.
The establishment has four waiters who are attentive and strive to work as professionals. They continuously walk around a pleasant terrace adorned with straw lamps and regularly bring out freshly cooked food from the kitchen to the tables upon the tinkling of the kitchen bell.
When I visited El Puentecito, there were 60 other guests sitting on the terrace with me. The kitchen, staffed by two chefs in light blue shirts, continuously churns out new and fresh dishes, and the bell signaling that the food is ready for delivery practically rings every minute. After 24 minutes of waiting, the waiter arrives and assures me that my food is on the way, explaining that their oven broke down, so they have to use the backup one.
I wait for another 10 minutes, and the lasagna arrives.
At first glance, a block of cheese in the middle of tomato sauce. The ceramic dish is hot, and the red sauce is bubbling. Visual rating for the lasagna: 2 out of 5 stars. 2/5 ⭐⭐
The lasagna is low and seems more like a child-sized portion, although it eventually satisfies an adult.
The melted cheese stretches, and I need some practice to wrap it entirely with a bite around the fork. I take a whiff and only detect the scent of tomatoes.
The taste is initially mild, but with each bite, it improves, and I realize that this lasagna has a pleasant flavor, almost smoky. Perhaps because it was heated in a wood-fired oven. I'm not entirely sure, but the smoky taste saves these lasagnas.
At the moment when there are only three bites left, the waiter comes and asks if everything is alright, albeit a bit late. To their credit, I must say that they constantly checked with other guests and genuinely made an effort.
As I set aside the last bite, I start my stopwatch. ⏱️
Exactly 47 seconds later, the waiter takes away the empty plate. Good job.
I ask the waiter for the bill, and nothing happens for 5 minutes. Then, another waiter passes by, sees that I'm holding cash, and asks if I'd like to pay. I respond with a yes, and that same waiter brings the bill in 27 seconds. The receipt is rolled up in a small metal mini-bucket. I put in the money, and the waiter leaves.
After 2 minutes and 32 seconds, he returns with the change, and I select the content and put back 2 euros as a tip.
Afterwards, I went for my customary inspection of the restroom.
The men's restroom was peculiar. The doors were marked with marker, there was a smudge on the wall as a reminder of the existence of a urinal that someone had removed. The tiles seemed to still remember the year 1980, and the trash bin was overflowing with paper napkins.
However, the floor was clean and free...

We visited the restaurant 2 days in a row just for drinks which were good , however on the 2nd day there was a mixup with one of the cocktails was told by the waiter that it had to stay on the table and couldn’t be taken away or removed the situation was eventually resolved by them providing another drink .
Despite the mix up earlier we a decided to visit again for the 3rd time but for food as the reviews were good which ended up being the biggest mistake we made . We should have got up and left when we saw another table in front of us and the owner going at it because of the bad food and service .
Reviews : (btw the waiters mention multiple times during service to leave good feedback) Read all the bad reviews beforehand as it’s more accurate then the fake positive ones . It also having a higher rating than an awarded winning restaurant we visited a night prior which had amazing food and service is very questionable.
Service and food : The service was horrendous and the food was disgusting , rock hard , overcooked and tasteless with soggy chips the portion size was also a joke. I mentioned this issue to several waiters after taking one bite including the owner she was extremely rude poor attitude brushed us away huffing and puffing whilst throwing her hands up in the air saying nothing could be done about the poorly overcooked tasteless food and denied any responsibility she also threatened to call the police on my entire table whilst shouting ,swearing , pointing and screaming all around the restaurant at us in Spanish all of this was captured on video all because we mentioned that we wasn’t happy about the service and food and refused to pay for the one dish that...
Read moreWe ate dinner here tonight, and the food was good. Everything was great until we asked for the check (earlier they forgot our drinks and we had to ask multiple times, but okay, no big deal)and waited 20 minutes with no result. We asked again, and I explained that my wife was feeling unwell so we needed to go back to our hotel as quickly as possible. Suddenly the waiter didn’t speak English (it had been perfect all night) and decided to give me a Spanish lesson, rudely telling us to ask in Spanish and then saying it was no big deal to wait and we should “calm down.” (By the way, I had begun to try to explain in Spanish, and while I am very out of practice at speaking, my receptive language is pretty good.) We had asked calmly and politely, so this was totally uncalled for.Switching languages, he called out loudly for our check and spoke quite nastily about us to his colleague, presumably because he thought we couldn’t understand. Well, I understood. Honestly ruined the evening. Had planned to return,...
