The location is clean and cozy. The staff are quite friendly but don't speak English. Food is always good and top notch. One day we even asked to microwave the pork because it was getting cold, and they did. But then it went cold again because it was really cold.
Most of the time, the preparation of food takes a while compared to other bars. The Wifi slows down to a trickle when my colleague is downloading Dota2 and CS Go. His name is Roy. Jun was cool and married. Paul was in his Elly Buendia outfit.
My only gripe is that on our last visit, the guy who looks like Vhong Navarro served us an extra platter of sardines. It came out of nowhere and we said that we didn't order it but he ignored us. He was starting to throw tantrums by breaking some glasses and slamming some chairs. But we all know what happened to Vhong when he went inside that condominium in Fort Bonifacio... Anyway, the BBG (beautiful blonde girl) approached to clarify the situation and thanks to a Spanish translator app - they understood that we were not stupid.
In the end, we received the bill which INCLUDED the platter of sardines. My highblood almost became high, but my friends made me feel better. Thank you dear friends. So we called Vhong again and we didn't pay for the Sardines because we have been eating sardines all our lives.
NEVER AGAIN!...
Read moreI want to share an extremely disappointing experience I had at La Hermoguesa bar in Almería. When I arrived, I sat down on the terrace, expecting to have a nice time and enjoy what seemed like an appealing menu. Unfortunately, no one came to greet me or ask if I needed anything, not even after several long minutes.
After waiting patiently, I decided to go inside and ask for a menu and order a drink. I was politely acknowledged, but with no real sense of service. I went back to my seat thinking someone would come serve me shortly. But… nothing. I waited even longer, watching the staff walk past me, serving other tables, yet completely ignoring mine.
In total, I waited over 30 minutes without anyone bringing me even a glass of water or taking my full order. I ended up leaving the place and going somewhere else to eat, where I was welcomed and served within minutes.
I absolutely do not recommend this place. The service is not just poor — it’s practically nonexistent. For a spot that claims to offer a good experience, this is completely unacceptable. There are plenty of great places to eat in Almería where you won’t be ignored like this. Avoid it unless you enjoy...
Read moreFood was brilliant. I've eaten over the past month in portugal and Spain and really enjoyed breakfast / lunch here. The cook behind bar was really helpful, spoke good English and the nice girl behind bar very helpful and great service too. I got the "Alpujarreno" which is like an English cookup for breakfast / lunch. Amazing Base of potato and grilled capsicum / peppers topped with eggs, 2 types of sausage and I think blood pudding.
Really...
