I don't know exactly when they opened but I regret not discovering this restaurant earlier. The food is amazing I've had dal makhni, shahi paneer, chana masala, veg biryani, naan, and samosas. The taste is amazing... nothing is spicy but still so flavourful. Dal makhani has to be my favourite...it has that authentic north Indian taste..felt like home. Samosas were quite good too. We've always ordered at home but the food comes really hot and fresh. The quantity is really really good and prices very reasonable.

Fuimos a Spice Hut con la idea de probar la comida hindú por primera vez y me fui con ganas de más. Lo primero que aprecias al llegar es una fachada preciosa con muchas luces. Cuando entras el olor de especias te inunda y te encuentras una pequeña sala con una barra y varias mesas, en mi opinión bastante elegante y limpio. El personal fue muy atento y amable, además de que nos sirvieron bastante rápido. Como aperitivo, nos sirvieron una especie de pan de gamba gigante(pappadum) junto con 3 salsas, a mi el pappadum me recordaba al sabor de las papadeltas. De entrante pedimos las típicas samosas de carne y el mítico naan de queso (una especie de tortilla de trigo con queso, muy parecido a las quesadillas). A mi las samosas me gustaron bastante, la carne era de pollo y estaba bastante especiado (obviamente) , el pan que era lo que más ganas tenía de probar me gusto bastante pero no fue nada del otro mundo, a mi acompañante si le encantó. Como plato principal nos pedimos el clásico butter chicken y chicken tikka maasala, y un sheekh kebab. Los 2 primeros platos son parecidos al curry porque son salsas con trozos de carne y nos recomendaron acompañarlo con arroz, el chicken tikka maasala tenía una especie de toque dulzón. El tercer plato era una especie de salchicha de carne de pollo y ternera (muy especiado también). En general la experiencia estuvo bastante bien, pero no es para todo el mundo. Si quieres probar la comida india tradicional o simplemente algo nuevo sí te lo recomiendo bastante.

Restaurante hindú decorado con gusto y muy limpio. Las camareras muy amables y atentas. Primera vez que comemos comida hindú. Seguimos recomendaciones y pedimos pan de queso y ajo (mixto), pollo Massala, cordero Korma, butter chicken y arroz con coco. Temíamos que todo fuera picante pero, todo lo contrario, era dulce especiado. El arroz demasiado empachoso, probaremos otro para la próxima ocasión, ya que hay mucha variedad de platos, sorprende!!. Un diez en las salsas y el pan. El cordero súper tierno, igual que el pollo. Dejo fotos de los platos. Recomendamos pedir solo dos platos de carne al centro, en lugar de tres, porque es una pena que sobre salsa. Repetiremos seguro!!.

New Indian restaurant opened in the city and we visited for Valentine's Day. The atmosphere was fabulous, decorated for Valentine's with red hearts and red foil balloons on each table. The service is impeccable, friendly and attentive staff, all the staff speak English well and nothing is any trouble. We visit The Spice Hut in Roquetas regularly and staff all knew us and welcomed us as friends.

The food is delicious 😋 poppadoms and pickles (complimentary) then I had Chicken Karahai and hubby had a Chicken Dansak, the chicken was moist and the dishes spiced to perfection! We shared an onion nan and garlic rice. Finished with complimentary shots on the house. If you love Indian food you have to try here when visiting the city of Almeria. We are keen curry enthusiasts and quite critical where our favourite cuisine is concerned. This gem of a restaurant is really well worth a visit. Impeccable service, the draught beer is outstanding and the currys are to die for. Try the king prawn madras. Beautiful tangy sauce that knocks the cotton socks off any brummy balti house. The saag aloo is better than any we have had at any desi pub. Simply put this restaurant is a must on visiting almeria. One of the best curry experiences we have had period. No hype.
