El Café de Inés — Restaurant in Almuñécar

Not terrible, but far from being good.

We had the Crepe Ines and the scrambled eggs. The eggs were cooked beyond recognition and we're really, really dry. The crepes looked beautiful but were cold for some reason and they tasted stale. So either it was cooked earlier or the crepe came from a bulk supermarket delivery. Don't get me wrong nothing was spoiled or particularly bad, it just wasn't good.

The service seemed to be understaffed, overworked or just uninterested. It was really hard to get their attention. At one point I ordered another coffee, and the waitress was gone before my girlfriend could articulate her second order as well, even though she was trying to get her attention. We didn't feel like shouting behind her, that we wanted more stuff but decided to share my coffee instead. Maybe we came on a bad day and if you feel like it you can really give them a try. Many gluten free options and seating inside or out in a lovely well thought out design - even the toilets are a pleasant experience. What a lovely cafe with great coffee and great service. Great care of their customers and any allergies/intolerances. Prices are very reasonable. 1.80 a large coffee with milk and 1.80 for toasted open sandwich. Enjoyed the Ines sin gluten crepe with every topping practically. Only took one star off for atmosphere as music when we were there was instrumental lovesongs that made you want to weep into your coffee. ESPECTACULAR!! estuve con unos amigos hace un par de días para merendar algo, ya había estado una vez anteriormente pero solo para tomar un café rápido. Primero me gustaría destacar que su carta es muy diferente a todas las cafeterías de Almuñécar y que ofrecen servicios que no encuentras por la zona con facilidad como por ejemplo el Brunch o el poder disfrutar de unos buenos cereales de diferentes tipos acompañados de ingredientes especiales. En mi caso pedí un café con Leche y un gofre de nutella(soy muy clásico). El café estaba espectacular, el mejor que me he bebido en Almuñécar, y se de lo que me habló porque he sido camarero mucho tiempo y lo que más me gusta hacer es el café, por eso se distinguir si está o no bien hecho. El gofre tenía un sabor riquísimo, estaba en su punto de temperatura y llevaba la Nutella perfecta para que no te resulte demasiado empalagoso ni tampoco se quede corto. En cuanto a la atención del personal fue exquisita(todos muy amables) y el local es súper actual y cómodo. Por último me gustaría mencionar algo que me llamó mucho la atención porque mi amiga se pidió unos cereales y cuando nos lo trajeron vimos que lo que tenía que ser leche era de color verde, en ese momento nos miramos todos como pensando, " será esto leche? O Wasabi líquido?", pero efectivamente solo era leche pero con colorante. Aunque parezca una tontería que la leche sea verde, ya es algo que marca la diferencia con el resto y siempre se agradece que te sorprendan.
