Nunca en mi vida nos han tratado tan groseramente. quizás porque no somos catalanes, pero este lugar es un infierno. la mujer fruncía el ceño y estaba enfadada y nos miraba fijamente. un miserable humano enojado y en el cumpleaños de mi hija. AVOID.

And in English. We sat down outside and a man gave us menus and took our drink order. Then about 15 minutes later a woman simply came and stood at our table. No smile, no words, no nothing. It was incredibly strange. I smiled at her and she ignored me. We all kind of looked at each other wondering what was happening, and then attempted to order. I was speaking Spanish, my family does not. She was barking one word answers at us, and humiliated my grown son on purpose, acting like she didn’t understand him saying “manchego.” It was awful.

I even asked her if everything was okay. She mumbled something at me and walked away. My family and I felt so uncomfortable and offended we went in and said we weren’t going to eat. We paid and then the woman came out and yelled at us saying “if you have a problem with me just tell me rather than have your kids laugh.” I have no idea what she was talking about but it was also incredible after she was SO RUDE to us for no reason. When we left, my kids asked “What did we do to make her so angry?” Nothing. We did nothing. We were just sitting there. My guess is they hate tourists. And that’s fine. But have some self respect and tell us immediately to leave rather than let us sit down then treat customers like we are trash. The saddest part is that it was my daughter’s 13th birthday, and our meal was destroyed by a miserable and mean human who apparently hates people trying to pay her for food. Don’t be a waitress. You aren’t cut out for it.

This was easily the worst I’ve ever been treated in any restaurant in my entire life. It was almost funny she was so rude.

Unless you’re Spanish, don’t go there. Or maybe you like abuse. In that case, give this place a try.

If the owners have any self respect whatsoever they’ll fire that woman and hire somebody with some basic manners...

Well, we will never forget this place. We’ve never been treated so badly in our lives. Absolutely not typical Spanish. Awful waitress who acted so badly at our table we started nervously laughing. It was like a sketch out of a movie. I’ve been all over the world and that young woman takes the cake.

If you don’t want to serve tourists, don’t seat them. The funniest part was that my daughter left a review of this place and the waitress who served us then started writing herself positive reviews and had her friends do it too. If the owners are reading this, have some self respect and get rid of the young woman who’s angry at people who want to...

We stopped here for drinks a few times, afternoon and evening, during our mini break here in Altafulla. We tried both the mid-day Menu del Dia and in the evening selected courses from the tapas menu (garlic and chilli prawns, meatballs and cuttlefish with lots of rich gravy, croquettes, patatas bravas and more).
