Thanks to Michelin guide I stumbled on this restaurant. The reviews are negative so I was quite perplexed of how it would turn out, but we came anyway because of the vegan tasting menu, which is quite a rare find.

The mise en bouche, which was a zucchini stuffed with couscous, lacked a bit of seasoning, or maybe a touch more of sauce. I pictured a touch of lemon zest would have tied the dish together.

The entree, a millefeuille of aubergine maybe lacked a bit of execution (too much quinoa) but the velouté and leek stacked beneath made it delicious. I was very delightfully surprised, and it was my favorite dish of the menu.

Main dish was a Thai style creamy coconut dish, not impressive taste wise but good nonetheless. I believe the soy protein was Heura «chicken»

Dessert was a slightly caramelized poached pear with a crumble and lemon sorbet. I loved it!

Now all of this menu combined, my opinion is that even though some dishes could use a « kick » (mise en bouche and main dish) I still rate it 5 stars because having a fine dining experience as a vegan is hard to find, and even though some improvements can be made, I had an amazing time and everything...

Das Ambiente war schön. Aber das war es fast schon. Der Kellner war relativ unintetesdiert. Er war nicht unhöflich, fragte auch immer wieder mal jemanden von uns 5 ob es demjenigen geschmeckt habe. Die Antwort interessierte aber nicht wirklich. Optisch sah das Essen hervorragend aus. Geschirr. Acklivh und von der Konsistenz war es leider nicht immer so. Das Kalbfleisch war hervorragend. Sehr zart. Das war vielleicht weniger das Ergebnis des Kochs, als das Ergebnis des Metzger. Das Lammfleisch hingegen war eher faserig und nicht so einfach zu essen. Eines der beiden Teller war dazu kalt beim Gast angekommen. Es wurde aber nach der Beschwerde aufegwärmt. Die Fischsuppe? wurde ohne die Möglichkeit sich danach die Hände zu reinigen gereicht, obwohl dort ü. a. Garnelen und Krebstiere drin waren, welche mit den Händen gegessen werden mußten. Der Darm der Tiere war nicht entlehrt, was eine ziemliche Sauerrei auf dem Teller ergab. Das vegane Menue war gut. Natürlich Geschmackssache wie immer beim Essen. Die gefüllten Cannelloni zu Viel für eine Vorspeise. Die Konsedtenz sehr Merkwürdig. Die Füllung seltsam. Der Nachtisch war gut, auch wenn ni nicht jeder Mann Geschmack. Wir hatten den Eindruck k, dass in der Küche nicht wirklich gekocht wird. Vielmehr wird das Essen vorwiegend aufgewärmt, und dann schön auf dem Teller trapiert. Wir hatten den direkten Blick k auf die Küche. Der Nachtisch dauerte sehr lange, is er auf den Tisch kam, obwohl er in der Küche lediglich aus einem Schrank geholt wurde. Wir haben alle gerätselt, wie die Küche zu so vielen Auszeichnungen kommen konnte. Wir haben des öfteren in einem Restaurant mit gehobener Küche in der Sternenklasse gegessen. Dieser Qualität kann diese Küche nicht das Wasser reichen. Für dieses Restaurant ist mir mein Geld zu schade. Wir werden nicht mehr...

DECEBEDORA!!!!!! Em sap greu dir-ho, però ens hem sentit enganyats. Volíem fer el menú del mar , que inclou caldereta llamàntol entre altres plats, però primer hem volgut preguntar al cambrer que ens ha atès ( molt maco i amable , per cert, però bastant desinformat en tot allò sobre la carta que li hem preguntat) què portava la caldereta de llamàntol de la carta per persona, per decidir si agafàvem el menú o triavem plats de la carta, entre ells la caldereta. El cambrer ens ha explicat, molt amablement, que la CALDERETA DE LA CARTA ( 50 €) PORTAVA UN LLAMÀNTOL I ERA PER 2 PERSONES, i que ell ens el recomanava el de la carta si allò que volíem menjar era caldereta, ja que EL DE LA CARTA ERA MÉS COMPLERT QUE EL DEL MENÚ . Ens ha convençut i hem preguntat si podia ser CALDERETA PER 3 PERSONES, i ens ha CONTESTAT QUE " OI TANT". Per tant, si les matemàtiques no em fallen, la caldereta per 3 ens havia de sortir per 75 €, segons les indicacions del cambrer. La nostra sorpresa, un cop havent dinat i demanat el compte, ha estat veure que ens havia cobrat 100 € de la caldereta , en lloc de 75 € com ell ens havia dit. Li he demanat explicacions al mateix cambrer i ell ens ha explicat, de nou molt amablement, que ens cobrava només 2 calderetes. Per què aquesta explicació, quan ells ens havia dit que la caldereta per 2 persones eren 50 €, i naltres havíem demanat per 3? Res té sentit.!!!! Ens ha demanat disculpes, però en cap moment ens ha suggerit rebaixar-nos el preu, i no només això sinó que ens havien cobrat, a més a més, un entrant que no havíem pres. No he volgut exigir parlar amb l' encarregat ja que havíem d agafar el tren cap a BCN, però SÍ que vull deixar constància !!! Em sap greu, però NO hi tornarem i us recomano que us informem beeee...

One of the reasons I chose to come to Altafulla was because I saw that there was a Michelin recommended restaurant here. I was quite happy with the experience I had. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. I got the Sensorial Menu with wine pairing. Although tasty and the wine pairing was lovely, it was a lot of food though. I think that for an extended menu that they should reduce the portion sizes a little because I think that a shorter menu probably had the same portion. But overall, a good experience. When I come back to Altafulla, I’ll probably return to eat here.

Michelin 2024👍👍 The menu is diverse and the combinations of flavors, textures and premium quality are apparent in each dish we tried. The Saint Pedro fish had incredible favor as did the diplomat vegetables. Each sauce was tasty and very unique. The watermelon/ lemon creamy appetizer drink was refreshing and prepared our palates for the dishes that followed. Ava , our server was extremely attentive and added that extra special touch to what a fine dining experience must be. 5***** + all around !!!

One of the reasons I chose to come to Altafulla was because I saw that there was a Michelin recommended restaurant here. I was quite happy with the experience I had.
