Les Bruixes — Restaurant in Altafulla

Incredible friendly atmosphere even in the severe heat. Came in around 10pm as we’d just landed in Reus and made our way over to Altafulla. Entire team were accommodating, cheerful, and felt like a strong community. Plenty of people dining outdoors and indoors but we requested to go indoors and were assigned a cute cosy table by the stairs. Locals were wishing us a lovely dinner and this must be the place for incredible community and comfort vibes. Had the cannelloni stuffed with incredibly soft, rich, delicious , ossobuco (beef marrow and meat) , generously topped with mature dry cheese, a refreshingly delicious rigatoni and pesto dish with topped with burrata and tomatoes. Great combination to share with one other. We also tried their homemade sourdough, they served it with a clove of garlic and tomato on the side which meant you can prepare the bread yourself as you like - scratching the garlic onto the bread and squeezing the perfectly ripe tomato was in itself an immersive experience. A bit overrated turistic type of restaurant. The garden and inside decor are somehow original, but enjoying your meal in the garden can a bit challenging as you will feel overwhelmed by the number of tables that they manage to fit in such a small area. In terms of service the 2 waitress are doing their best but is clear that their interaction is limited as they need to take care of over 12-14 tables during dinner time. Las 2 estrellas son para el local. Realmente es precioso el sitio, pequeño, pero muy agradable. Fuimos a este sitio por el menu, ibericos de primero y cabrito al horno de segundo. Y no tubimos nada de los 2. 21:30 dia 31 de Diciembre, menú cerrado de 40€ todos los de la mesa escogimos de primero los "Ibericos"pero de iberico no tenia nada y eran 3 lonchas contadas, de segundo solo nos ofrecieron 2 cabritos, porque tenian 4 y querian ofrecerlo a otra mesa. Vaya que nos quedamos sin comer cabrito todos menos 2, que para ser un local tan pequeño y siendo un menu cerrado, nose como se quedaron sin cabrito a las 21.30, o es que directamente ya no tenian y era un reclamo? Vaya, otra vez gato por liebre. Nos ofrecieron otros platos, que realmente estaban muy buenos pero las porciones muy pequeñas y desiguales, 2 de mis amigos escogieron secreto también y ninguna porcion era igual, entre la mia y mi compañero habia dedo y medio de diferencia. Además esto no fue todo, porque nos pusieron justo delante de la puerta del baño, teniendo en cuenta de que éramos un grupo que ocupaba bastante era algo molesto que la gente no deje de pasar. Pero esque lo peor era la olor, le preguntamos al camarero si podía hacer algo y cerró la puerta y ya está, sin más. Aún así seguía oliendo pero con menos intensidad, pero claro, la gente va al baño, así que nos íbamos turnando para ir a cerrarla. Como veréis una muy agradable actividad para hacer mientras cenas. Como podréis comprender a dia 31 a la hora de cenar, no podíamos cambiar de restaurante porque no teníamos a donde ir, pero al ver los primeros nos entraron ganas.
