We were so grateful to find anywhere that would seat us after 22:30 after leaving the crowds in the centre and we really wanted local seafood dishes. This restaurant really delivered when we had high hopes but low expectations because we had failed to reserve anywhere. The sepia was beautifully cooked, the best I have had and the tomato Rosa con ventresca was so fresh and tasty. The almejas were served in a beautifully rich stew like sauce. This place was recommended to us. Since it’s a gastrobar, we were quite looking forward to it. The restaurant was busy on a Friday evening. We ordered the fried belly pork, prawn croquettes and shrimp in garlic sauce. The pork was served first, and frankly tasted overly done and dried. Would have been nicer had there been sauce. We both agreed that we couldn’t taste any prawn in the prawn croquettes. The prawn in ajillo was also underwhelming. Food wise, I give it a 2. Adoro Altea y tras la recomendación de unos familiares que viven allí, en esta nueva visita decidimos cenar en Xe Que Bò. No hemos podido acertar más. El lugar pequeño pero muy acogedor y bonito, ambiente muy agradable, carta amplia y diversa y el servicio inmejorable. Nos dejamos aconsejar por ellos y tras una entrada de unas sabrosisimas Gambas al ajillo y unas magníficas alcachofas vinieron los segundos. Lenguado y carpaccio de carne que estaban exquisitos.
