Unfortunately, this is the first time in my life that I have requested to see the manager or owner. Four of my friends were on the table, and 3 of them ordered the menu. Two of us arrived a bit later, and regarding we were not hungry, we made a decision to share one menu.. As you see on the pic, my plate is the same as the plate of my friend on the right side. My friend who ordered the menu for us, even told to waiter that guests (we) are not hungry and we will share one menu as they already ordered. First, the waiter, who later declared himself as manager ( maybe it's true, but if it's,it's a sad) didn't wait to order the drinks, even it's almost rules to order drink first and it was a bit surprising for me and then we had to catch him to order the drink even restaurant was almost empty in that time. The real problem starts when was time for desert, and we have knowledge that we had 3 menus and 2x a la cart. It's not a story about one desert more or less,or 15-20eur more or less, but so arrogant behave from the writer's side is unacceptable. He explained that we got a bigger portions..you can see same portions on the pic. Btw. If wanted a la cart, why should we take same meals like on the menu.. is it forbidden to share a menu( first plate and second plate). It was a really unpleasant situation, but that (blond) male waiter made me crazy with way of behavior. Even worse if he is really manager. At the end.. even if we got 50g more fish or meat,is it really worth to make such scenes with guests all 55+ years who obviously don't make problems about one meal. The fish was amazing, but for sure I won't back...

Yesterday I went to Terraza by Helen in Altea and had a very disappointing experience. Upon arrival, I asked for the menu. The man who attended me — who seemed to be the owner and possibly Dutch — pointed at a few starters and main courses and told me to choose, saying he'd let me know what was available due to the general power outage in Spain at the time.

I ordered, ate well, and was later kindly served by another waiter. However, when I asked for the bill, I was shocked to see a total of €43.50. I asked if that was the price of the menu, and was told, "No, you didn’t order the menu." That was very unprofessional — I had clearly requested the menu at the beginning. To make matters worse, he brought it to me only at the end, claiming it had been on the table the whole time (which is not true). I felt misled, overcharged, and honestly, treated like a fool. He didn’t apologize, and I left feeling extremely disappointed and taken...

We have eaten as a couple and with different groups of friends many times over the last few years. The service by ALL staff is always welcoming and friendly.A Lovely atmosphere where the food is of excellent quality and nicely presented. We have been really impressed with La Terraza by Helen. We decided to book the restaurant for my 70th Birthday party on the fourth of March. The kitchen staff, Michael and his front house staff were amazing!!!!!!! They catered for 46 people with great professionalism.Every person there complimented on the quality of food and the service as being outstanding! We had a wonderful experience! We have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant and we will definitely return! A very big thank you to everyone who made my day very special! Steve and Alison Wright

We had a delightful dining experience at this restaurant in beautiful Altea, accompanied by friends. Everything was top-notch: the service, the ambiance, and the food. We came to try the steaks and opted for the Galician and La Paris cuts, along with beef tataki and ham with melon. We asked for a recommendation for red wine, and the choice was excellent—though I can't recall the name, the bottle with Salvador Dali's label had a rich, full-bodied flavor. And, as is customary in such wonderful establishments, we were treated to limoncello at the end of the evening. A big thank you to the staff and waiters! Everything was prompt, delicious, and we felt surrounded by your attention throughout our visit. Truly appreciated! P.S. don’t forget to make reservation
