Slightly odd experience. Food was perfect and great value, and on arrival the staff were extremely good and professional. We noticed the rugby was on and some people watching, which was fine with us. The volume was perfectly reasonable and atmosphere very friendly. But towards the end the staff suddenly became very inattentive and not bothered. It was 1.5 hours before closing time, and no one offered any drinks or dessert. After a while we noticed they were cleaning out the kitchen and tables! So we thought OK I guess we won’t be getting anything else, so we tried to get someone’s attention for the bill, which took 20 minutes more. When we finally managed to ask for the bill, it was produced in 5 seconds, it had already been printed! The guy even had the cheek to ask us “Is the Match Finnished?” We then realised they just wanted to leave and go home early. A real shame, we would have come again. But the experience...

The last two visits have been hit and miss. Hit because the food is good. Miss because the waiter has got the order wrong. First occasion we were brought three meals even though we were two persons. Second occasion I ordered the daily special off the sandwich board, pork chop with mash potatoes. The waiter showed me the pork chop on the menu which was accompanied by salad and chips. Not what I wanted, so I again directed his attention to the sandwich board and told him that I wanted that and not the menu option. Surprise surprise, what I got was the menu option. Very tasty but not what I ordered. I will return and try again because the food is good. You never know, they could get it...

Even one star is too much. Today, we had the worst burger of our lives. Dry, greasy buns with no sauce or any other toppings – it was truly awful. To be fair, we didn't expect anything extraordinary given the location and the prices, but this was simply inedible.

The service staff, however, was friendly and made an effort, even bringing us a new serving. While the second attempt was slightly less greasy, it's sad to say that even a McDonald's burger is better than what is offered here.
