Booked all-inclusive direct with the hotel and fights separately with Ryanair. We are a couple in our 50s/60s who have holidays from 3 to 5 star across the world and in the UK. We are pretty easy going and don't sweat the small stuff.
We originally booked a junior suite with sea view but I emailed the hotel directly and upgraded to the premium sea view room prior to our visit, they gave me a price and I paid separately. I must say that every time I emailed the hotel whether it was about the type of hairdryer or whether there was a kettle, I got a response really quickly.
On arrival, the receptionist (who was very friendly), gave us our wristbands, information on services and how to access our free safe and we were off to our room. Within 5 mins arrival to the room we also got a courtesy call to check if everything was alright. In fact all staff we encountered were friendly and smiley. A smile, a please and a thank you goes a long way.
The room had a lounge with tv, bedroom with huge bed and another tv, bathroom with dual vanity, shower over bath (with loads of hot water), small sliding door to the loo. There was a small kitchen area with kettle a couple of cups (which were tiny) and fridge. The freezer part of the fridge didn't work as there was no door so it was iced up, it didn't bother us.
We had a complimentary bottle of Freixenet, chocolates, water and a welcome letter.
The TVs had a few English channels, namely BBC1, BBC2, ITV and Ch4. The lounge was just showing static when we tried, but we popped to reception the next morning before breakfast to let them know and it was fixed by the time we got back about an hour later.
The balcony had two sunloungers, a table and 2 chairs, also a washing line. We had sun from sunrise to about 3pm (by moving the chairs around). It's a very private balcony too. Lovely views over the beach to the marina, we could sit in bed and watch the sun rise, which was bliss.
The cleaners came in every day, it did get dusty in the room though, but so did I sitting on the loungers, I blamed it on the sand which seemed to get everywhere, it must be a tireless job.
Breakfast, we got into a routine here, I went to the toaster and Mr G went to get coffee from the machine at the back, which was ok (one americano and an extra espresso got my desired strength). There was a few bread options which were fresh. Hubby got a freshly made omelette every day with ham, cheese, onion and tomato, I either went for scrambled or fried egg with a bit of bacon (it's the streaky style not English back bacon, but we're not in England). I also may have had the odd glass of cava and there was also a fresh smoothie station with mango, banana, orange options. Other breakfast options were available, beans, sausage etc and continental hams and cheeses.
Lunch, we weren't that hungry and I usually went for chicken or fish from the show cooking area. They were also burgers, hot dogs, salads and various other from the buffet.
Dinner, I always had from the show cooking, there was lamb, steak, pork and chicken plus a variety of fish. On the Friday there was also a huge seafood selection with crab, prawns and clams. I had absolutely no issues with the food.
Snacks, wasn't hungry enough for them, but occasionally had crisps round the pool.
Drinks, stuck with local as they were in the all-inclusive, the sangria was really nice (but boy what a concoction), I liked the red wine, but I like Spanish red wine. The wines, beer and soft drinks were on tap. On an evening I had the odd cocktail that was made fresh, Pina Colada and a Blue Lagoon, I also usually finished the evening with a 'Baileys' equivalent. I had no issues with the drinks on offer.
There wasn't much in the way of entertainment, but that didn't bother us.
Caleta itself is about 15 mins from the airport, lots of shops, bars and restaurants. Plenty of 2€ beers if that's your thing. We had a few drinks out and about, but not too many.
No complaints,...

That being said, there are some areas that could do with improving but if it keeps the price the same for next year then I don’t mind!||Cannot fault the room except for the excessive amount of unlabelled switches, some of which either don’t work which causes confusion which is needed to be used for the light. We eventually got use to them. The air-con was noisy, the one in the lounge worked but the bedroom one was not good and pretty much turned it off.||The bathroom was spacious with a double sink, powerful Shower [though the shower screen needs a new sealant strip to stop the water from seeping onto the tiled floor]. The phone in the toilet is a rather weird addition.||Kitchen space is fine, the hob is small, and I imagine you might struggle making a full meal if you were self-catering. ||The bed[s] and pillows are really comfortable and probably one of the best I’ve had in a hotel. Plenty of wardrobe space and the balcony was big. Though, it’s a partial concern if you’re on the lower levels as they’re easily accessible / there won’t be much privacy.||There are a few pools, 1 of which was out of the way, and we never used so won’t comment. The two around the main area are brilliantly sized, one is shallower than the other. You should be able to get a few swimming lengths done just fine. The bar by the pool usually has one or two staff on majority of the day, if you want Beer/Fizzy Drinks/Hot Drinks then you can sort this yourself with the provided machines/Beer Tap/plus a water dispenser.||Entertainment wasn’t really my thing but that’s just me, we’d rather go out or go relax on our balcony. What I will say is, special mention to Melvin; without him around the pool area or hotel there is not much of a vibe, and he really puts a lot of energy into bringing a smile to peoples faces. He does have a couple of days off and it showed as it was quiet.||Regarding the food, there are mixed reviews and of course everyone has their take, and it frustrates me as a holidaymaker when people either give this the most exaggerated negative review or just neglect to add context. |For Us two, the breakfast setup was more than fine! As you’d expect from all-inclusive layout; bread section, multiple variety of eggs [including omelette station], beans, bacon, sausages, hash browns, tomatoes and other veg plus your cheeses and cold meats. Then you have your churros, pancakes, fruits and freshly made juices/smoothies [also bottles of Cava, beer tap, coffee stations and a water dispenser].| Lunch and Dinners were usual: themed nights and changes and you should be always able to find something to eat. Granted, if you’re the type of person who prefers to make a meal of something rather than combine multiple theme foods on one plate there’ll be some night with less “meal” choice. I thoroughly enjoyed every meal I had and wouldn’t hesitate to go all-inclusive again.| What I will say [and agree] sometimes the food was just below warm temperature but there is a microwave to warm stuff up if needed. Perhaps the hotel needs to provide better bulbs for the heating element.| We also never had an issue with getting a seat, plus there’s additional seating outside if needed.||Will I return? ABSOLUTELY! But only if the price is right. I will miss not returning here if I don’t, because it provides a brilliant base due to its location on the beach front plus the place being really clean and having the majority of all the facilities and requirements I need to...
Read moreOur Family Stay at Eurostars Las Salinas We recently returned from a fantastic holiday at the Eurostars Las Salinas in Fuerteventura, where we stayed from the 24th of July to the 3rd of August. As a family of three, with two adults and one child, we were looking for a relaxing break with a great location, and for the most part, the hotel delivered. Here’s a summary of our experience.
Staff: The Heart of the Hotel The staff at this hotel are an absolute credit to the Eurostars brand. They were consistently friendly, kind, and incredibly helpful throughout our entire stay. From the reception team who gave us a warm welcome upon arrival, to the cleaners who always had a cheerful greeting as they made our room spotless each day, we couldn't have been more impressed. The restaurant and bar staff were also excellent, always working hard and with a smile. Their genuine hospitality made us feel truly valued and was a highlight of our trip.
A Clean Stay with a Budget-Conscious Feel We were very happy with how clean the hotel was. Our room was always clean, and the public areas, including the pool, were well-maintained. We did notice, however, that while the hotel is clean, some of the infrastructure feels a bit dated. There were chipped tiles and a few worn fittings that made it feel more like a solid three-star than a modern four-star. It gives the impression that the hotel operates on a tight budget for refurbishment, but this didn't detract from our enjoyment.
The Perfect Location The location is, without a doubt, the hotel's greatest asset. It's positioned right on the beach, which was ideal for us. We loved being able to step out of the hotel and onto the sand in just a couple of minutes. The hotel's central spot in Caleta de Fuste also meant that everything we needed was within easy walking distance. We enjoyed many strolls along the promenade and found plenty of shops and restaurants to visit nearby. It’s perfect if you don't want to rely on a car and just want to enjoy the sun and the sea.
Entertainment: Quieter than Expected If you're looking for a hotel with a vibrant entertainment program, this might not be the place for you. We found the entertainment and animation team to be quite minimal compared to other hotels we've stayed in. There wasn't much going on during the day or in the evenings, with entertainment often limited to a single performance or a singer. For us, this wasnt actually a major issues as parents / grandparents came out to meet us, but it's an important point for families with children who might want more organized activities.
Food: A good selection When it came to food, we found that while the selection might have been smaller than what we've seen at other large resorts, the quality was consistently good. The variety and preparation were superb, especially the breakfast spread which offered a fantastic choice to get our day started. The hotel offered different themed nights to add variety and even though there was no separate children's table we all always found something we enjoyed for every meal. The pool bar offers snacks throughout the day as well.
Our Final Thoughts For a family like ours, the Eurostars Las Salinas was an excellent choice for a low-key, relaxing holiday. The friendly staff and unbeatable beachfront location made our time there truly special. While the facilities show some signs of age, the hotel's cleanliness and great value more than make up for it. We would certainly recommend it for anyone who prioritizes a peaceful and...
