Well where do we begin, after eating at the all-inclusive buffet at our hotel for a few days our taste buds got bored so we thought we'd see what the beachfront restaurants had to offer.
Looking around nothing picked our fancy, and being traditionally British of course we opted for the Indian option.
¡OMG! Was it amazing! We started off with some cocktails, flavoursome, strong enough but not too strong and very refreshing. Enough to cool you down and get you started ;) Then the starters came, Highly Highly recommend the Indian style chicken wings for the Meat lovers. Plenty of flavour and succulent chicken, cooked to perfection. Also served was vegetable samosas (best samosas ever had according to the Wife) and sliced Garlic and Cheese Nan, let me tell you, it was to die for. It was only a short while until the main dishes were presented, dropped with a warm and actually exciting delivery. Dish after dish was served with no qualms and we began to feast. The Wife had Butter Paneer. *Being a Vegetarian she doesn't have a lot of GOOD options when out for food, and given that in the Mediterranean a lot of the food is meat oriented she was pleasantly surprised with the choice and found something that wasn't only filling but was soulful to eat. 10/10. I myself had a Chicken Jalfrezi and again what can I say it was everything you could have wanted. Juicy Chicken, flavourful sauce and the aromatic pilau rice was just impeccable. (nothing like my hoose rice!)
The Shivam Restaurant was recommended to us by the parents, their dishes pictured first and we were not disappointed. I highly recommend this establishment to anybody in or around Castillo Caleta de Fuste.
Great service, Great drinks, Great Food and a Great price. We will be...
Read moreWe decided to get two Doner Kebabs for takeaway (mixed kebab). Lamb and chicken - it was a nice mix. Packaged well, covered in grease proof paper, along with thick tin foil to keep it hot. Requested cutlery. Plenty of napkins (thank god). Sauces came separate in their own little tubes which we appreciated as the hot sauce for the kebab was extremely hot 🔥 I think if the hot sauce was placed on the kebab we would have not been able to eat it 🤣 overall, it was nice and tasty and did the job for a small bite to eat for lunch. We took it to the beach to enjoy it there. The only flaw we seen the place is just full of men just hanging around, in an uneasy way too. My wife literally looked around and was like ‘nah’ & didn’t want to stay and eat. Too many men. It’s a new era, we probably would have wanted to sit down and eat here if there were women servers or waitresses but unfortunately not. So here you see how outdated it is on that part. The manager I’m guessing (great English speaking guy) was efficient, quick and made us feel welcome he took our order efficiently when the first server had no idea what we were ordering. Restaurant by the entrance of the...
Read moreAvoid. We went to both Shivam restaurants and guess what? Food poisoning at first branch. Vomiting 12 hours after consumption clear case of food poisoning. A few days later we went to their second bench in town centre hoping a new location would mean cleaner and better? Sadly 12 hours after eating their food we got food poisoning yet again! Food poisoning from both SHIVHAM branches within days!!! This indicates they are NOT clean and have dirty premises (both) stay far away unless you want to take your kids and yourself to toilet at 5am!!!
FOLLOW UP TO RESTAURANT REPLY: I have no reason to lie, I have 2 small kids aged 5&7. All they had eaten was shivan doner and chips and subsequently vomited many times. On the other occasion they had pizza. I don’t doubt your reviews BUT these 2 cases are clear FOOD POISONING DUE TO UNHYGIENIC SHIVAM...
