This place will do really well, the only slight issues is that it borders on the town. So you can easily ignore this place, walk by it or not even hear about it. Trust me when I say if you don't eat here, you will be missing out. Hubby had the scampi and chips. Hubby is not fond of chips, I think they are filler foods. But these where nice and very homemade. The scampi was delicious and soft, with the crispy breaded coating adding a nice bite. However the real winner was Wifeys Ploughman's, which was fantastic and huge. Pork pie, cheese, crackers, bread, eggs, beetroot, salad, coleslaw, branston pickle and more. That was a feast, very fresh and a banquet by anyone's standard. Wifey and Hubby would come back here again and again. So many other options that interest, sadly my first choice of the steak pie wasn't available. Read moreHaving earlier sampled the fantastic fish and chips meal, I have now also tried the full English breakfast, I can report that once again it ticked all the 5 star boxes Perfectly cooked fresh quality ingredients and as always served with a smile, and the coffee with milk was also first class, as other coffees we have had have been disappointingly weak and too milky.
