IndiMex Indian Restaurante Caleta de Fuste — Restaurant in Antigua

Very poor experience. Chair broke (completely collapsed) on my 84 year old father leaving, covered in his drink as he’d tried to grab the table to prevent his fall. He was attended to by us, the restaurant manager was only keen on removing the chair out of sight as quickly as possible. The orders were wrongly delivered. The pizza (Hawaiian) was dry and had no pineapple. The curries were Luke warm and bland. The children didn’t eat their food. The manager asked to take a picture of us? My daughter said no, but he took a photo of us eating which cynically felt like “cover” to try to prove we were enjoying our meal. My eldest daughter confronted the manager about the food and experience and was fobbed off.

As we left the table of 12 that had been in long before us approached us and said they hadn’t been served anything yet! I said how impressed at how calm he seemed (the guy who approached me) and he said as it was his friends 50th, they’d all agreed to not make a scene but were going to walk out soon.

Two hours and no food and they had a baby as well that hadn’t eaten

No apologies offered to us or the other party, just pay and leave.

Chicken puri: (medium) the naan this was served on was incredibly fresh and the Chicken fell apart it was so soft and juicy. The flavours were amazing. If you don't like spice I'd suggest going for mild. Onion bhaji: sweet onion with a nice little kick. Genuinely a very nice bhaji Chicken pakora: again the chicken was cooked to perfection, the battery flavoursome and crispy. Chicken hyderabadi: (medium) this was an absolute must. The depth of flavour in this dish was second to non. Chicken korma: our little girl was raving about "amazing" it was. It was 'just the best ever' Garlic naan: fresh, sweet and garlicky. Pickle tray includes mint sauce, onion chutney and a sweet mango chutney. Would 100% recommend.

The guys here were very attentive and friendly. Very lovely and if we weren't leaving tomorrow we would definitely be back. As a lass coming from the curry capital of the UK I highly recommend this place. Beer is available to order along with spirits if you want to enjoy a cheeky beverage...

Horrible experience, we were a mixed group of vegans and nonvegans, and after having to beg for them to tell us the vegan options and finally placing our order, upon coming back with our food the same rude waiter couldn't remember who ordered what. The three dishes that are vegan tasted the same. There was at least 40 minutes between the apps and mains, and then we were told we had to vacate the table in 10 minutes while we were still eating, because a large party was arriving (90min before closing). I was literally still eating my meal when my plate was taken away. We asked for a complaint form and refused to leave until they provided it to us, and they attempted to distract us by offering complimentary shots. After we threatened to call the police, and another half hour, the form finally arrived. I have never had such a horrible experience. Avoid this place...
