Lovely beach, suitable for everyone. There is disabled access with wooden walk ways running on to the beach (though not across it)
Beautiful Turquoise water, cool to start but warm once your body adjusts to it.
The top of the beach near the board walk has toilets and fresh water showers. There are nice affordable bars at the right of the beach near the Eurotar Salinas hotel. These cafes and restaurants do take out ice creams too.
the car parks seem to be at the right end of the beach too or you can park anywhere on any road in the sprawling complex all around this end of Caleta de Fuste
This is a man made beach with quite gritty "Sand" laid deeply to cover the Natural volcanic ledge that was here, It is a gradual shelf and suitable for all swimming abilities. You still need to be mindful of the currents and wind direction here as the entrance to the beach goes directly out to sea
There are man life guard towers here and a shark net to protect the beach from both Sharks and rays. There are smaller fish and these quite happily swim round you, you need to be aware of this as some people seemed quite distressed by that. These fish do not bite but might just swim against you.
You can hire sun loungers and sun shades/Parasols here on the beach - you just sit on a lounger and the attendants will come to you. We were there 2nd week in September 2022 and the price was still 10 Euros for all day rental of x 2 loungers and Parasol 0r 7 Euros for one lounger and Parasol. Pretty good value as you do need the shade especially if you have a young family or you burn easily.
Very nice beach for evening walks along the Board walk.
Possible Downsides:- It can get very busy in high season, but never "Rammed" Very close to airport so planes fly over head to land - but its not that often . Can be choppy with small waves on...
Read moreShallow waters near the man-made sandy beach is perfect for a swim. The sunbeds can be rented for around €10.50 for 2 for the whole day. I’ve seen plenty of people just bringing their own blanket and relaxing in the sand. There are free public toilets nearby that are kept clean and also a small bar that sells various drinks and snacks. The beach is quite a long stretch. Quiet enough in May going into the first week of June. Plenty of beds and spaces all around. Lots of restaurants too close by we brought our own food and drinks to have a beach day was perfect. No...
Read moreTo start with, location is very close to the airport if that makes any difference, beach is manmade, not natural. It's wide, there's plenty of room for everyone, ocean is calm so it's ideal for families with young children, down side of it I would say is that there are only 2 beach bars operating from 11 till 6 only so if you would like to eat some restaurant food you have walk a bit to the main area off the beach. There's another thing to mention here that can be annoying or pleasant, the airplanes are flying right above the beach and they are loud. Hope I...
