Taberna Rincón de Juan 🌞 — Restaurant in Aracena

I enjoyed this place, following a recommendation from the pharmacist. I had been on a long run that day and had very weary legs and in some pain, hence visiting the pharmacy! I asked for a restaurant which serves traditional local dishes and she said she quite likes this one, so went along and was pleased. Sticking to the tapas menu, went with some rinones [kidneys] which were outstanding and some stew which was also very good. I avoided stuff from the sea given it's in the mountains, so went with another prok dish (also good) and some simple tomatoes. In fact, I ordered too much so my advice would be to take it one at a time as the portions are big for tapas. When the bill came I wondered if they'd made a mistake as the dishes, though large, averaged Eur 3 each. The dishes were hearty and filling and just what I needed after a hard day trail running. If you want good quality, no frills, basic traditional which is very good value this is the place. ...

He estado este fin de semana una vez más, en ese abanico gastronómico como es Aracena, llenas de sabores y cosas buenas, el Jamon, la presa, la pluma ,las setas, la morcilla, los lomos ibericos y los postres caseros, todos para tocarle las palmas. Pero hay un lugar llamado Taberna Rincón de Juan insuperable con la calidad de cualquier Restaurante pero a mitad de precio, con tapas de 2,70 y 2,80, con medias raciones de 6 y 7 euros, menos el Jamon que vale 8, pero las dos parejas que ibamos suficiente, con ese plato y ese brillo, ese sabor esa gracita y con esa actividad, derrochando simpatia rapidez de las hijas porque es un bar familiar, en el momento de ir al baño a lavarme las manos ya teniamos la cervecitas y el plato de jamon en la mesa y la madre que es la cocinera es para subirla a hombro todo los días al Castillo, hablamos con ella y quisa como lo hacia su su abuela y su madre a fuego lento, nada de modernidad despasito que se vayan cociendo lentamente sin ningún aparato moderno ella tiene una olla expres desde hace años y todavía no le ha quitado la etiqueta y el marido en la barra invitandote a conversar respaldado por un gran escudo que está en la cafetera el del Betis, hay que ir pronto tiene unas 20 mesas nosotros llegamos a las 14 horas y esperamos uno 10 minutos, puntuación maxima comimos de todo hasta que no podiamos más, mira si ibamos contento las dos parejas que fuimos por la tarde a misa y cuando el cura levanto la copa cantamos el...

This place ticks all the boxes: it has a charming interior, and shaded tables outside; the staff are helpful and friendly - they roped in another patron to translate when my Spanish wasn't up to it; there are locals passing in and out; it's extremely affordable; and the food is absolutely fantastic. We had the best morcillo I've ever had and the solomillo was 🔥

Just be aware that you might have to wait for a table - get a caña at the bar and enjoy the atmosphere...
