The lights installed really underline the color of the water and little lakes inside. It’s not the biggest or most impressive cave visited in Spain, but definitely within the best lit in the key points. I advise you buy tickets online as it’s only with grouped tours. The village is nice to visit as well, many places to eat to you won’t get bored. The no photos rule is simply absurd and as a normal consequence no body respects it, has the logic of it has always been like that rather than an actual rationale of how it could harm the environment (in the Nerja cave they explain exactly that and why you can’t take flash photos and it makes perfect sense & people resonate), while they have so many strong lights installed in carved places in the actual stalagmites so the arguments of no photos have no fundament in fact. They also take a photo of you with a green screen at the entrance and sell you a pic of “you in the cave” which is embarrassing, it would be more acceptable to take a small fee to let you take photos in the extent of not delaying the group, which would be the only valid argument for prohibiting them photos. The guide was nice and told us lots of interesting details about the history and formation of the cave, super interesting.

If this is the first stalagmite cave you have visited, you will probably like this place very much. It is a short tour. The tour is in Spanish and the guide does not speak a word English. You can get an audiotour. There is one disadvantage with the audiotour: the audio speaks for about 30 seconds and the guide keeps on talking. So the natives will have all the information about the cave. And you only hear the basics. You can ask question, but they cannot answer in your language. Taking pictures or shining light for a long periode is forbidden, because damages the cave. But the audioguide said that Tarzan was filmed in the cave. That's odd. Entrance is €12,50 including audioguide. You can visit this place of you have never seen stalagmatis. But if you want to see the lamborghini among the stalagmite caves you must visit the Skocjan Cave or the Postojna Cave in Slovenia. That will blow your mind away and the guide speaks English. Topnotch

I’m amazed by the caves. This place is so beautiful and exceeded my expectations. - First of all you should buy the tickets in advance online as you might not find availability on the day, specially weekends, public holidays and high season. - You will need to be at least 10 minutes before the booked time as they start the tour on time and then you can’t join the group. - comfortable clothes and flat shoes are a must as inside de cave there’s lots of humidity and the paths can be slippery and wet. - The visit is in Spanish but you can download an audio guide in several languages. - No pictures or videos are allowed 😞 PS. The pictures I posted are from the local brochures and the sales office

This place is a must see wonder of the world, it's mostly natural cave will impress you. The tour involves a walking tour thru a mineral cave surrounded by cristal clear waters, don't worry you won't get wet nor need any special gear, just bring comfortable walking shoes and light clothes since it gets kinda warm inside the cave. The tour will take about 45 mins down thru 1.3 kms ( 0.85 mi) of natural rock formations inside earth, the place is super clean and you will not spot insects, odors nor any common form of life, the place is filled with copper and minerals which generates an alkaline and naturally pristine ecosystem
