Today I paid my first visit. Met some people I know there. Lovely to catch up. Very sadly the lady, who I later was told was indeed the owner, did not acknowledge me whatsoever.... I kept trying to get her attention to order a drink as I was parched. I had to ask her for a drink once I did catch her attention, and then I had to ask her once more to do a food order.... it wasn't busy and there was no real excuse for not acknowledging me, she had a new customer on her terrace. Later I was talking and turned to see by surprise that my food in front of me.... She'd said nothing and I did not hear her..... 🤔 She seriously seems to have communication issues, lack thereof.
There was building work on the pavement immediately next to the terrace, only a few meters from where I sat and other customers were even closer (he had been further along drilling and hammering at the next local first, which the noise was annoying but no real problem).... He was using a diamond tipped drill cutting tiles on the pavement that was closest to us, creating a massive dust cloud which we we all ended up breathing in.... Not ideal at all, for the customers or the business. The owner at this point had gone out in her car so didn't see this part and what was then said...
I proceeded to point out his lack of consideration for people eating and drinking (in his language) only to get a barrage of abuse back from him. Clearly this got my back up. He continued to mutter to himself about "the bloody English......" Hearing and understanding him I spoke back to him..... Informing him that he should not assume and that I am not English! He didn't like it and neither did the owner (who had just returned), who felt prudent to have a pop at me! I'm defending her customers, and myself, to a rude obnoxious builder 🤷 after she had initially been pretty rude and lacked BASIC customer service.... I dare say I will take...

Review for Lizzie’s Bistro, Costa del Silencio
If you’re looking for a place that feels like a home away from home, Lizzie’s Bistro in Costa del Silencio is the perfect spot! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by Nicki and Neal, whose warmth and friendliness made us feel instantly welcome. They, along with Lizzie and Leila, go above and beyond to create an inviting, homely atmosphere that keeps you coming back.
The food is absolutely delicious, with a diverse menu that caters to every craving, and the cocktail selection is incredible—a real highlight! There’s truly something for everyone. And beyond just great food and drinks, Lizzie’s offers a range of fun events throughout the week, including lively karaoke nights that add to the bistro’s vibrant vibe.

Read moreLovely Bistro run by a very friendly couple (Neil and Nicki), fabulous service and high quality food at good prices. We had the loaded potato skins to start which were delicious, loaded full of cheese and bacon. For the main a huge perfectly cooked steak with chips and we would highly recommend the brandy cream and mushroom sauce. If you have room for desert (and I would recommend you try to) they have lots of home made goodies. I had the apple and rhubarb crumble, you could tell it was made from scratch it was proper comfort food.
For a good meal and friendly service in Silenco this place is a must.
p.s love the little touches like a little vanity basket in the ladies toilets and the place was...
