Restaurante Oriental Gran Familia — Restaurant in Arona

Very poor service and hospitality. We went for lunch yesterday. Without being mentioned that water is charged, waitress brought two bottles of water already opened at her end. Anyway, we paid for it without any argument or debate. Today, we went for dinner. We ordered one starter, three main course, Vergin Mojito and Coke as same waitress took order. We requested her to repeat order. She said our order so fast with raised voice and un-understandable English. We could not understand and requested her to repeat. She said going to bring bill beforehand so that we can check it that our order is correct. She went to her office and not brought bill just said total amount. We requested her as this was not bill and if so we will not know what we ordered. She behaved very rude and asked us to leave and said there is no food for us. We were very polite with her all the time. But she insisted us to leave. Me and my wife were sad as she behaved in very disrespectful way and it was very late in night on Christmas day.

Very sure readers of this review will be able to understand language and arrogance and how they are trying to get sympathy from people of great nation Spain and has no relevance in this review. This is clever political approach from restaurant which can be seen with putting counter blames instead of asking apology when ill treated customer who simply can't understand their English and politely requested for the need as explained above.

Fantastic experience here, the only regret I have is I only had time to visit twice during our holiday! The food is absolutely brilliant, and there wasn't one negative point any of my party of 5 had to say about anything. They very easily catered for gluten free diets, and the vegetarian section of the menu is also vegan, so there's a lot to choose from. The recommendations from the staff were amazing, notably the 'Vegetable Meat' in a black pepper sauce, the beef in black bean sauce, and the duck in a mango sauce.

The staff here are also incredibly nice, so make the experience even more enjoyable.

I would absolutely recommend the Oriental Gran Familia to anyone staying...

Absolutely incredible restaurant. We went for tea and came back for lunch the next day. Service was incredible, staff were so lovely and helpful. We are going back here for our last meal in Tenerife.

For tea we had vegan gyozas, satay tofu skewers and spring rolls. It was all delicious but the gyozas were a highlight! Then for our main we had vegan meat with veg rice. Wow. Absolutely delicious. My fiance said it was his favourite meal ever.

Then for our lunch we had the vegan duck pancakes which were incredible and shared the vegan meat again.

This is our new favourite place, INCREDIBLE!
