Cervecería Gambrinus — Restaurant in Arrecife

We chose this restaurant as all of the others along the strip catered for the "English" palate and we wished to try something Spanish or even local.

We decided to go for tapas and share.

The ceviche scallops were a treat, the flesh was "cooked" by the lemon perfectly.

All of the dishes we selected were excellent albeit a little on the pricey side.

The staff were friendly and the service was initially slow but picked up as the afternoon progressed. We were the first customers of the day and they had only just opened up.

An interesting find was an artiesian pale ale from Lanzarote. If you like that "hoppy" flavour you won't be disappointed, at 5.3% alcohol it's surprisingly...

I got beautiful home cooked chips here, they were honestly the nicest chips I had the whole time I was in Lanzarote, and I would go back just for these chips. Hand cut, cooked to perfection, the potato was so soft and buttery, and they were seasoned with just the right amount of salt. Delicious! I also had the fried goats cheese and it wasn't really to my taste - nothing wrong with it, just a bit too rubbery for my personal preference as I prefer crumbly goats cheese. I'll keep this short and sweet, the food was so-so, with the beef tasting quite strange.
