El Nuevo Maccheroni — Restaurant in Arrecife

We visited today for a late lunch (October 2025) and had a wonderful experience. Very friendly waiter who put effort into providing a good service. We ordered a Pizza and a dish that was pasta, covered in pizza crust (cannot remember the name). The food was cooked fresh, with good portion sizes and the service was very fast. I tried to speak Spanish with the waiter (I cannot speak Spanish), who of which was very appreciative and shook my hand. Will definitely attend again when visiting on future trips. 100% recommend.

Something to note: Lanzarote is a windy island - eating outside could be a little cold if the wind is at the wrong direction, however the fresh warm food...

Great food, great wine, great and friendly service. A genuine local restaurant with delicious home made food. Not a tourist trap, a real restaurant! Their speciality is filled pasta (plenty of other food too }and we tried two different ones which were both delicious (although could have had a bit less cream sauce) and for starters had prawns in garlic butter and a rosemary focaccia (pizza bread) all really very nice. The house wine, both red and white, was excellent. Another couple at the next table also said their meal was very good too....

Would I come again? - no.

What did I buy? - White house wine, aubergine starter & spaghetti with tomato sauce.

Bad - Supermarket spaghetti served in excessively large portion.

Good - Quick service, nice environment. A pizza another customer was having looked good.

Bottom line - good service let down by substandard food. I was surprised to find that such spaghetti would be served in a restaurant...
