To be clear from the beginning, we didn’t get to try the food here. We came on a Thursday afternoon and the place was completely empty. We were happy to see there were many vegetarian options, but after a closer look, most things felt a bit heavy or unbalanced. We asked the waiter if we could swap the burger fries for a salad, he went in to ask, came back and said ‘no, that’s not possible, the burger comes with fries’. We then asked if the salad (listed as a main, for 11€) has any kind of protein. He said ‘there’s no meat in it’, so we repeated the question explaining we would want a vegan or vegetarian main dish to still have some (vegan or vegetarian) protein in it. He went in, asked, came back and said that ‘no, it’s just salad, nuts and dry fruits, and a vegan dressing’. We decided to leave at this point, as we realised we were wasting everyone’s time. [Later edit as the restaurant replied: clearly, the staff couldn’t be bothered as it was 2pm and ‘they were about the close at 3pm’. Anyway, on the protein question, nuts tend to have 13-25% protein, and to cover 30-35g (which is what I’d aim for per meal), the salad would have needed around 150g of nuts, which I doubt anyone would want to eat in one go. But the owner seems to be happy with the restaurant’s approach, so it’s indeed better that we...
Read moreWOW! Thank you. We had walked around for a while trying to find some vegan food. We found this online, and sat outside for 30 minutes to open and we are so glad we did. We had the nachos with hummus style dip, and lentil meatballs with a rich tomato sauce and hom made potatoes. Everything was seasoned to perfection, and the prices are fantastic. The man servicing us was also...
