La Bella Istanbul — Restaurant in Badalona

I know La Bella Istanbul in Barcelona. They have very nice food, I like the place. About the location in Badalona, I was very disappointed due to their attitude. They are supposed to be open from 12. I can say that at least a few minutes earlier, there were about 3 people from the stuff. About 12.10 blinders were still halfway down, so I asked if we could enter to eat sth and was told that... maybe in 20 mins, meaning half an hour from the time they should be running already. A lot of people will walk past this place as a "Kebab shop" and it's true that you'll get great Turkish kebabs and variations on those dishes.

It's much more than that, though, and has a range of dishes with fresh salad, humus, felafel (nice vegetarian options), yoghurt etc.

The staff are exceptionally nice - and English-speaking - as well as quick with their service.

It's very much no-frills but a great place to stop for a quick, tasty, satisfying...

Si estás en Badalona y no has pasado por este restaurante turco… estás perdiéndote un festival de sabores. ¡Qué locura de sitio! Auténtico, sabroso y con un rollo que te transporta directo a Estambul sin salir del barrio.

Pedimos varios platos para compartir (lo mejor que puedes hacer aquí), y todos estaban de escándalo: el kebab de cordero, tierno como mantequilla, con ese toque ahumado y especiado que te deja en silencio de lo bueno que está. El hummus, sedoso y con pan recién hecho que aún humeaba. Y el durum… madre mía, ese durum fue poesía envuelta en pan fino.

El sitio es acogedor, con decoración tradicional sin caer en lo recargado. La música ambiente, suave, y el olor a especias y carne a la parrilla ya te abre el apetito nada más entrar. El personal, un encanto: atentos, rápidos y con ganas de que te lo pases bien.

Y ojo al baklava, porque está criminal. Dulce, crujiente, y con un té turco fuertecito al lado… te deja flotando.
