Alaska — Restaurant in Barcelona

Absolutely awful experience! The restaurant looked fine from the outside. But, it all went downhill the moment we walked in. The two servers were older grumpy men. The first one that led us to our table was very unfriendly. He made us feel like we were bothering him. The second waiter, just as unfriendly. kind of threw the menu at us. At that point, I was ready to leave, but stayed not to embarrass my partner. A different waitress came to take our order. I reluctantly ordered their risotto. When the plate came, I was disgusted by the sight of it. The rice was mushy, covered in some bad-looking gooey white sauce, and bits of asparagus on top. I forced myself to eat a couple of spoonfuls. The food was tasteless. It seemed like they added a ton of salt to give it some taste. I genuinely thought that I would get sick to my stomach from eating that stuff. As we were waiting for the bill, we noticed that they served other customers bread and olives while they were waiting for their meals to arrive. Somehow, we never got those free appetizers. Extremely poor service quality, bad food. Save your money and go...

We were looking for something to eat at a later time after a long day out and this restaurant was near where we were staying. We sit down and order and the younger waiter was a delight! He was cheerful and happy to help despite a slight language barrier.

About 10-15 mins pass and the food arrives, the cutlery was dirty when it was given to us and the food was a little on the bland side. The cuttlefish was way tougher than it should have been and the squid was flavourless.

We went up to the bar to pay the bill and 2€ was added on for card payment! The receipt was also thrown at us, not passed or placed on the bar but thrown at us.

Redeeming qualities were the average chips/fries and the friendly young waiter at the beginning. If you’re in this area of Barcelona, I do not recommend...

First we ordered 3 carbonaras, one risotto and one cannelloni. The waitress comes after a few minutes and says that they don't have carbobara or risotto. Then we decide to take 4 cannelloni and one burger. First, they forgot one cannelloni and brought it only after 10 minutes, and when they arrived they didn't even look like the others. And finally, on top of everything, we order a coke, the waitress...
